Covid-19 in C?te d'Ivoire: the number of confirmed cases increases to 7,677

The Ivory Coast recorded Monday, June 22, 2020, 185 new cases of Coronavirus COVID-19 which brings the number of cases to 7,677.

The Ministry of Health and Public Hygiene recorded today, Monday, June 22, 2020, 185 new cases of COVID-19 out of 844 samples taken, representing 22% of positive cases, 60 cured and 02 deaths. Today we deplore two (02) deaths in the Service of Infectious and Tropical Diseases of the CHU of Treichville.

This is a 76-year-old patient with a history of stroke and pulmonary embolism and a 35-year-old patient with no specific history who died on arrival. The Minister of Health and Public Hygiene offers his condolences to the grieving family.

As of June 22, C?te d'Ivoire therefore has 7,677 confirmed cases including 3,128 people healed, 56 deaths and 4,493 active cases. The total number of samples is 45,996. The Ministry of Health and Public Hygiene recalls that the pandemic is not over.

He urges vulnerable populations, particularly the elderly and people with chronic illnesses, to reduce their displacement in order to protect themselves and their health.

The Minister of Health and Public Hygiene therefore calls for discipline and a sense of responsibility for everyone.

Covid-19: C?te d'Ivoire has registered 170 new cases, 68 cured and 02 deaths this Thursday

The Ivorian government announced during a press briefing this Thursday, June 25, 170 new cases of Covid-19 out of 1012 samples taken, representing 16.8% of positive cases, 68 cured and 02 deaths.

These new figures revealed by the Ivorian authorities illustrate that as of June 24, C?te d'Ivoire has 8,334 confirmed cases including 3,487 people healed, 60 deaths and 4,787 active cases, for a total number of samples estimated at 49 352.

In addition, the government deplored this day, two (02) deaths. "This is a 07 year old child whose death occurred on June 13, 2020 in a severe infection table in a public health facility. The diagnosis was made post mortem. The second is a 39 year old patient , without particular antecedent, died on June 20 in a Private Sanitary establishment "specifies the press release.

Faced with the growing number of confirmed cases, the Ivorian government is increasing awareness of compliance with the barrier measures. Health officials say the pandemic is not over. This is why, they remind people that "the virus is there in our country and that we must remain cautious".

Abidjan, July 1, 2020 (AIP) -The Ministry of Health and Hygiene recorded this Wednesday 203 new confirmed at Covid-19, bringing to 9,702 the total number of people affected by the disease since its appearance in C?te d ' Ivory on March 11.

"As of July 1, C?te d'Ivoire therefore has 9,702 confirmed cases," said the Director General of Health, Professor Samba Mamadou, adding that 4,381 people are cured with the notification today of 108 new remissions, while the number of deaths stagnated at 68 cases, no new case having been reported.

To date, C?te d'Ivoire has performed 57,774 tests for the virus and 5,253 confirmed people with the disease are still on treatment, said Samba.

He invited the populations to wear the protective mask and to respect the rules of hygiene, sanitary safety as well as the preventive measures taken by the Ivorian authorities by showing responsibility and discipline.

The rail link between C?te d'Ivoire and Burkina Faso resumed on Wednesday, Xinhua learned from an official source on Wednesday.

According to the authorities in charge of rail transport, this recovery concerns the transport of goods.

"The General Management of SITARAIL is pleased to announce the total resumption of freight traffic on Wednesday July 8, 2020 on the entire railway line, from Abidjan to Ouagadougou", said a press release from the structure responsible for transport by rail.

They note that they are working on a rebalancing of rail traffic and the repositioning of traction means following the long interruption of traffic.

C?te d'Ivoire, which registered its first case of COVID-19 contamination on March 11, took measures on March 16 to paralyze air and rail transport.

In C?te d'Ivoire, the Covid-19 pandemic is still spreading. As of July 8, 2020, the country had more than 11,000 cases, including 78 deaths.

The Ministry of Health and Public Hygiene recorded this Wednesday, July 8, 2020, 310 new cases of Covid-19 out of 1,841 samples taken, representing 16.8% of positive cases, 84 cured and 2 deaths.

We noted two deaths occurred at the Service of Infectious and Tropical Diseases of the CHU of Treichville and in the site of care of the CHU of Yopougon. These are two patients aged 69 and 68. The Minister of Health and Public Hygiene offers condolences to the grieving families.

As of July 8, 2020, C?te d'Ivoire therefore has 11,504 confirmed cases, of which 5,571 were recovered, 78 died and 5,855 active cases. The total number of samples is 69,009.

Several senior Ivorian officials have been tested postive for the new coronavirus, Xinhua learned from an official source on Sunday.

The president of the Ivorian Senate Jeannot-Ahoussou Kouadio was diagnosed positive for COVID-19 after medical examinations in Germany where he continues his treatment, according to a press release from the Senate.

Another press release from the city's ministry revealed that Minister Fran?ois Amichia contracted the virus. "The Minister of the City Fran?ois Amichia has tested positive and has quarantined himself. His condition is stable. The Minister reminds everyone of the need to respect the barrier measures," said the text.

As of July 12, C?te d'Ivoire has 12,766 confirmed cases including 6,654 people healed and 84 deaths.

On several occasions, the Minister of Health and Public Hygiene has called on people to discipline and a sense of responsibility in order to prevent the spread of the disease.

Abidjan, July 14, 2020 (AIP) - C?te d'Ivoire confirms 165 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, bringing its total number of infections to 13,037, said on Tuesday July 14, 2020, Ministry of Health and Public Hygiene in its daily report on the epidemiological situation.

These new cases were listed on a sample of 682 tests, representing a positivity rate of 24.2%, said the Director General of Health, Prof Mamadou Samba.

The number of deaths has increased by three, for a total of 87 while 6,908 people have recovered, including 98 in the last 24 hours, according to the health official.

As of July 14, 6,042 patients are under treatment and the total number of laboratory tests is 77,996.

The Ministry of Health and Public Hygiene recorded today, Saturday July 18, 2020, 216 new cases of Covid-19 out of 1,237 samples taken, representing 17.5% of positive cases, 393 cured and 04 deaths.

We deplored 04 deaths. These are three (3) patients who died in public health establishments. They were respectively 80 years old who died on July 15, 50 years who died on July 17 and 67 years old that day. The fourth is a 72-year-old patient who died on July 17 in a private health facility.

As of July 18, C?te d'Ivoire has 13,912 confirmed cases, including 8,000 recovered, 91 deaths and 5,821 active cases. The total number of samples is 82,616.
