My tracking agrees with two exceptions. I had one death each in Espirito Santo and Matto Grosso based on the information in Post #190. I could be mistaken, though.

SC confirms 12 more deaths from flu fever; state has 32

The State Secretariat of Health of Santa Catarina confirmed on Tuesday an additional 12 deaths due to flu, with nine of the victims were part of the risk group.

To date, were confirmed in total 32 deaths and 320 cases of Influenza A (H1N1).
The Secretary of State for Health, Data Rutter, warned the population to keep the state of vigilance, according to the letter all recommendations for prevention of swine flu.

The main recommendations are to wash hands with soap and water frequently, avoid environments with the crowd, not to take drugs without medical advice and seek a health unit as soon as possible whenever you feel flu symptoms.

On 10 August, 45 patients were in intensive care units (ICUs). Earlier this week, the number of patients in intensive care rose to 93.

The number of hospitalizations, in contrast, decreased, to the secretary, is a strong indication that patients are seeking medical advice only when the condition worsened.

According to the Ministry of Health last week, 557 people were infected with swine flu in the country Brazil, according to data from the World Health Organization, is the largest number of fatal cases.

Dourados is in the Matto Grosso do Sul state and as of today I had two total deaths in the state. I'm assuming that this confirmed death in Dourados is the third in the state.

With that, I have a total for Brazil of 666 deaths.

Pandemic. Seven deaths occurred in the interior between 6 and 27; another was recorded in BH on 13
Number of deaths from swine flu in Minas rises to 22
Patients - four men and four women - were between 24 and 58 years
Renata Medeiros

Eight more deaths caused by swine flu in Minas Gerais were confirmed yesterday by the secretaries of state (SES) and Department of Health of Belo Horizonte. Seven deaths occurred within the State and one in the capital, bringing to 22 the death toll from the disease in Minas Gerais.

The deaths recorded in Belo Horizonte is a woman of 38 years. She was admitted to the Hospital Alberto Cavalcanti and died on Nov. 13. The death was registered by the SES.
Victims of swine influenza in the State are four men and three women, aged between 24 and 58 years. The deaths were recorded in Tableland (Triangulo Mineiro), Jaipur (Steel Valley), Palma (Mata), Mount Caramel (Triangulo Mineiro), Ribeir?o das Neves (metropolitan area), Good Hope and Virginia (South of Minas Gerais). Yesterday four deaths were ruled by swine flu. 73 other deaths in the state are still under investigation and its diagnosis depends on laboratory results.

According to the superintendent for the Epidemiological Monitoring of SES, Francisco Lemos, the mortality rate caused by the virus is still low in the state. He believes the fact that the reference hospitals for treatment of flu in the capital are contributing to a greater number of deaths in Minas Gerais, however, says it is too early to speculate.

"We do not have all the test results and therefore can not be said that the numbers of deaths outside the capital are higher," he said.

Examinations. Ezequiel Dias Foundation (Funed), which began to perform tests for the diagnosis of the disease last Friday, sent to the SES the first 130 results. Until yesterday, the laboratory had received 651 samples for examination. "Through Funed, you can discard or confirm cases more rapidly, which will make our work faster," said Lemos.

According to SES, there are 239 confirmed cases of swine flu, and 664 suspects in Minas. In the capital, 65 people are admitted to the public health system for treatment or research of the disease.

Goi?s
Inside. Carlos Magalh?es dos Santos, 39, mayor of Sanclerl?ndia (145 km from Goi?nia), died yesterday with flu. It is the first confirmed death due to disease in the state.
