Jamunamukh Block PHC: Kathiatoli District: Nagaon 37 0 05/10/2012 2012-10-06 11:58:11 450 All the affected persons took common food (Mah prasad and payas)in a religious function in a nearby temple at about 3 PM of 4102012. Following the event some people felt abdominal discomfort and the 1st case with SS of Loose motionvomiting & Fever came to Jamunamukh SD at about 1 AM of 5102012. In the morning hours of 51012 few number of cases with similar complaint came to Jamunamukh SD. All together 37 number of cases admitted in the hospital out of which 22 numbers of patient were referred to the District Hospital.All patients are in recovery state and no death. Stool samples were not taken as patients were already under antibiotic therapy. 1.Patients were treated immediately. 2.Food Inspector collected the sample of food. 3. Health education imparted by the Local Medical Officer. Investigated by RRT Investigation Open Situation is under control. No more cases report at the local hospital

After that developed symptoms of nausea, abdominal pain, fever and vomiting. Immediately admitted in RH: Nampur of which 11 patient referred to Civil Hospital Malegaon. 3 vomit samples are sent for bacteriological examination at DPHL Nasik. 1. The occurrance of diarrhoeal disease is due to dirty infected usage of water in drink. Mainly the reason of Diarrheol disease is affected water in used in day to day rutine. The water sample has been taken and send to labrotary for checkup. Lab result awaited. Rapid Response Team and medical team are visited . Three cases were referred to B.P. civil Hospital, Nagaon out of that one was brought death and one died after admission. Eleven patients are in recovery stage.2.The food safety officer detected a large quantity of rotten molasses tin in a grocery shop which was used to prepare country liquor. Later these were ceased with the help of district administration.3.All the patients are above 25 years of age. No children were affected till now.4.Almost all cases had history of consumption of country liquor. 1.Water sample collected and tested by H2S strip test-result awaited.2.Food sample collected including rotten molacess which was used to make country liquor and sent for analysis in forensic laboratory.3.Blood samples colleted from the patients for RE and for Malaria. .?The SDM&HO (HQ), Kaliabor and SDM&HO, i/c Jakhalabandha BPHC, SDM&HO i/c Simanabasti BPHC along with medical team comprising of Medical Officers, Nurses, Paramedical staff and Laboratory technician initiated the treatment of affected people in the early in the morning. ?IEC campaign was organized at the spot to stop drinking of alcohol in the area. ?Surveillance will be going on daily to detect new case.
