A woman Gunamma of Ranga Reddy district has died due to swine flu at Gandhi hospital of Hyderabad. The death toll in Telangana rises to 13 this season. Check out the video to know more in detail.

Mahbubnagar nurse dies of swine flu in city

HYDERABAD: In a tragic incident, a staff nurse at Perur primary health centre (PHC) in Mahbubnagar district, K Suvarna, 30, died while undergoing treatment for swine flu at a corporate hospital in Secunderabad on Monday.

Her last rites were performed at her native village at Achampet in Mahbubnagar district on Tuesday in the presence of several health department employees.

A 32-year-old Gopaiah hailing from Miryalaguda in Nalgonda district and a 72-year-old Venkataiah hailing from Amberpet, Golnaka died of suspected swine flu at Gandhi Hospital on Monday. Nearly 433 positive cases have been reported in the State over the past four months. As many as 2, 506 samples were screened for H1N1 virus.

Hyderabad, Dec 5: As many as 19 people have died due to Swine flu in Telangana State from August 1 to December 4 this year.

Pregnant woman dies of swine flu

Pregnant women, who tested positive for swine flu, continue to remain highly prone to fatalities in Hyderabad.

On Monday, the health authorities said that a 20-year-old pregnant woman from Mahabubnagar died at Gandhi Hospital due to complications from swine flu. Since this August, 19 people have died due to swine flu.

Swine flu cases on the decline in city

HYDERABAD: For inexplicable reasons, there is a sudden drop in swine flu cases in the state nodal hospital for treating H1N1 cases, Gandhi Hospital, which reported nil patients since December 11.

For the record, 20 swine flu deaths were recorded in Telangana since August 1, including 18 from Gandhi Ho spital alone. The same period saw 589 patients testing positive for swine flu last year.

599 swine flu cases reported in State
Three fresh cases of swine flu have been reported on Tuesday taking the total number of positive cases in the State over the past five months to 599.

As many as 4,520 samples were screened for H1N1 virus and out of them 599 were found positive, as on Tuesday. The bulletin issued by the principal secretary of Health, Medical and Family Welfare on Tuesday put the number of deaths in the past couple of months at 21.
