Khalida Bibi ,50, lost her life against dengue fever in Services Hospital while the fifth patient whose identity is yet to be identified expired in a private hospital.

LAHORE: Dengue continues attacking civilians and claiming lives, killing seven more, including five women, on Monday, while taking the death toll to 265.

42-year-old Shah Jahan from Thoker Niaz Baig and 18-year-old Hina Ismael from Model Town died in Jinnah Hospital, 36-year-old Amna from Krishan Nagar in Gangaram Hospital, 52-year-old Khalida Zaheer from Mughalpura in Services Hospital, 25-year-old Tanveer from Mozang Road in Gangaram Hospital, 53-year-old Musarrat Bano from Sant Nagar, and 60-year-old Anwari Bibi from Mughalpura lost her life to dengue in Ghurki Hospital. Meanwhile, 23-year-old Ishrat Bibi from Toba Tek Singh died due to dengue in the Allied Hospital.

Lahore?Deadly dengue virus continued to play havoc with the lives of people in Punjab as two more people died of the deadly virus on Tuesday.

According to details, two patients who died of dengue in Services Hospital of Lahore included Musarat, 60, of Krishan Nagar, and 45-year-old Muhammad Yusuf of Gujranwala.

Dengue cases are increasing in Faisalabad where 25 more people were shifted to different hospitals while four people have died due to dengue fever.

As near as I can figure it, there have been around 225 fatalities in Lahore with 20-25 from elswhere in Punjab. The toll in Sindh has risen to 11, while Khyber Pakhtunkhwa remains at 5.

Today, 50-year-old Asghar Javed, resident of Islampura who was admitted at Mayo Hospital lost his battle against dengue virus and expired.

Another patient Nabeela (48) of Ichhra succumbed to dengue fever at Services Hospital. She was brought to hospital with lower number of platelet in her blood.

The third patient who identification is yet to be ascertained died at Doctor's Hospital.

Media Reports say five more dengue patients died in Lahore during last few hours despite Punjab government’s claims of taking measures to control the virus. The patients who died from dengue include 55-year-old Shabir of Taj Pura who was under treatment at CMH, 58-year-old Rahat Bano of Taj Pura, 76-year-old Rafiqa Bibi of Township and 19-year-old Kiran of Chungi Amar Sadhu who was under treatment at General Hospital Lahore. LAHORE: The dengue fever on Thursday claimed six more lives in the City, taking the total death toll to 285 in the provincial metropolis.

LAHORE: The killer Dengue fever claimed four more lives including that of two women in Lahore, Geo News reported Saturday.

In Lahore alone the total dengue death toll now has reached 236, whereas 265 deaths have been registered overall in Punjab.

With 242 more confirmed cases the tally of total patients, so far, has jumped to 18,300. On the other hand 199 more cases have surfaced in Lahore to take the figure for the city to 15,609.

At the moment, around 1,385 patients are under treatment in the heart of Punjab.

Principal Services Institute of Medical Sciences, Prof. Dr. Faisal Masood has said that the process of training regarding patients? management and diagnosing of dengue is continuing for young doctors and nurses of all teaching hospitals of Punjab and training is being imparted to 125 doctors and nurses in Services Hospital daily. He said that Pakistani doctors are comparable with the trained doctors of any country.

He expressed these views while giving a briefing to media regarding dengue in the committee room of Services Hospital, here today. Director Health Information Management System Dr. Muhammad Anwar Janjoa, MS Services Hospital Dr. Muhammad Javed, Asstt. Prof. Dr. Ambreen and other officers of health department were also present on this occasion. Prof. Masood said that dengue virus has reduced due to effective steps of the government, hardworking of doctors and change in the weather. However, deaths of dengue patients due to hemorrhage fever is a big challenge for the doctors and experts are paying full attention to reduce the mortality rate, for which doctors and nurses are working round the clock for looking after the patients and saving their lives. He further said that those patients who are already suffering from diabetic, blood pressure, cardiac and lever diseases need their special attention as mortality rate can be more in these patients. He said that the threat of hemorrhagic fever is increased to those patients who suffer from dengue again and they should immediately get examined in the hospital. Prof. Masood said that hundred percent life of a patient can be saved through early diagnose and proper treatment of dengue hemorrhagic fever.

Giving briefing to media, Director Information Management System Dr. Anwar Janjoa told that 353 dengue patients have recovered and discharged from teaching and district hospitals of Lahore during the last 24 hours which included 99 patients from Mayo Hospital, 59 from LGH, 30 from Government Mian Munshi Hospital, 35 from Services Hospital, 17 from Jinnah Hospital, 14 from Kot Khawaja Saeed Hospital, 86 from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital whereas 13 children have been cured and discharged from Children Hospital.

Similarly, 17795 dengue patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals in Punjab so far out of which, 15229 belonged to Lahore. As many as 286 confirmed dengue patients have been reported in Punjab during the last 24 hours, of which, 175 belonged to Lahore. The total number of dengue patients in the province has risen to 18058, of which, 15410 are from Lahore. He said that 1538 dengue patients are under treatment in different hospitals of the province, out of which, 1196 are admitted in the hospitals of Lahore. Six deaths occurred due to dengue during the last 24 hours, thus the total number of deaths due to dengue has risen to 258 in Punjab while 230 in Lahore.

The total number of cases in Sindh is 806 out of which the majority, or 609, were reported from Karachi.

One more dies of dengue, toll reaches 13

KARACHI: One more dengue patient died in interior Sindh, raising the total death toll to 13 during current year, in-charge Sindh Dengue Surveillance Cell said here on Thursday.

The deceased was 17-year-old Imran, resident of Mulla Allahbad, Tehsil Jampur, Zila Rajanpur.

LAHORE: The deadly dengue virus claimed four more lives in Lahore on Thursday.

Those who fell victim to the dengue virus included Asghari Bibi, 50, resident of Ravi Road and Nawaz, 60, hailing from Gujrat died at Mayo Hospital. While Imam Bukhsh, 80, of Bagrian Chowk and Muhammad Yousaf, 50, of Depalpur succumbed to the fever at Jinnah Hospital. With the death of four persons, the total number of deaths due to dengue has reached to 315 ! in Lahore while the number of dengue patients in other parts of the province also increased.

Deadly dengue virus continued to claim lives of the citizens as four more people died of the diseases in different areas of Punjab on Friday.
According to details two among the deceased were identified as Nisar 72, and Uzma 15, who died in various hospitals of Lahore raising the death toll to 253 in the city while 291 in Punjab.

LAHORE: Two including a woman lost their battle against Dengue at Services Hospital on Friday morning, raising the death toll to 253 in the city while 291 in Punjab, Geo News reported.
Today 72-year-old Nisar and 15-year-old Uzma lost their lives after suffering from Dengue.

Deadly dengue virus continues to ruin the lives of citizens in Lahore as three more people including women died of the disease on Saturday.
According to details, two among the deceased were identified as Waqas Ali and Majida Bibi who passed away at Services Hospital.

Death toll in Punjab reaches 292, with 255 from Lahore alone. LAHORE: The dengue virus claimed three lives on Saturday taking the death toll to 292 in Punjab, reported Express 24/7.

Allah Rakhi from Mughalpura was under treatment in Sheikh Zayed Hospital while the other two patients died in Services Hospital Lahore.

According to the report issued by Punjab Health Department, 242 dengue patients have been discharged after being treated during the last 24 hours.

More than 19, 300 patients have been discharged after being cured for the deadly virus.

According to official reports, out of 292 deaths, 255 are from Lahore alone.

LAHORE: Dengue virus claimed three more lives including two women in Lahore on Saturday, Geo News reported. The toll now stands at 257 in the city and 297 in Punjab.
Waqas aged 18, Majeedan 45 and Allahrakhi lost the battle against Dengue at Services Hospital today.
