(COVID-19) Niger: the number of confirmed cases of coronavirus increases to 34

The number of cases of coronavirus infection (COVID-19) rose to 34 in Niger, including three deaths, with seven new cases recorded on Tuesday, according to a statement from the Nigerien Ministry of Health quoted on Tuesday evening by Nigerien public television .

Niamey, April 02 (ANP) - In Niger, a new assessment of the Coronavirus pandemic reports 74 recorded cases, 5 deaths and a 2nd region of the affected country, notably Maradi with 2 confirmed positive cases, announced on Wednesday April 1 2020 at the end of the evening, the Ministry of Public Health, in a press release.
Niger had, until March 30, 2020, only 34 confirmed positive cases with three deaths. But according to the press release from the Ministry of Public Health, it was following virological examinations of the samples taken on March 29 and 30, 2020 that 40 new positive cases were confirmed, of which 2 died.
This, in total, makes 74 cases recorded for 5 deaths on April 1, 2020. And according to the Governor of the Region of Niamey, in a press briefing, on the same date 834 people are currently confined, among whom 264 health workers, while 162 people who have had contact with the dead are wanted.

Niamey Apr 13 (ANP) - Niger has registered 529 confirmed cases of patients with coronavirus, including 12 deaths and 75 cured on April 12, 2020, according to a statement from the Ministry of Public Health, of which the ANP received a copy.
There have been 12 deaths and 75 cured while The 442 patients are being treated out of a total of 2014 people tested, the source notes.
