"Of the eight registered cases, seven have mild symptoms and one has no symptoms. All are in isolation at home," said Rosa Marlene, speaking during the press conference to update data on covid-19 in the country.
Of the new cases, six were registered in the city of Maputo (south), one in the province of Maputo (south) and another in Cabo Delgado (north).
"They are all Mozambican citizens, one of whom recently returned from South Africa," said Rosa Marlene, adding that, at this moment, the mapping of the contacts of the new patients is taking place.
Of the total 145 cases already recorded in Mozambique, 85 are in Cabo Delgado province, 36 in Maputo city, 12 in Maputo province, eight in Sofala, one in Manica, two in Inhambane and one in Tete.
The Mozambican health authorities recorded a total of 46 recovered people and have no record of deaths from the disease.

The Mozambican President, Filipe Nyusi, admitted on Friday to take tougher measures under the state of emergency to prevent covid-19, if some restrictions persist, namely, if the levels of internal circulation remain high.
The state of emergency has been in effect since April 1, having been enacted until the end of that month and then extended until the end of May.
"The next 15 days are decisive for us to determine what we will be like after this second stage," he said, guaranteeing that "there is still no time to relax the measures", he concluded.
