China - Media report: Hospital reports suspected H7N9 avian flu patient to Tengzhou CDC - Shandong province - February 23, 2017 - confirmed

As for the newly diagnosed case from Nanning city,
following is the HPC of Guanxi announced URL.
The patient is diagnosed and at the same time, the professional is clearly saying the case is thought to be "an imported case ".
There, unfortunately enough, is no information other than the case was working in Guangdong Province.
Guangdong is so big, the HPC should make the city name clear if they want to prevent the people.

Hi, Sharon-san,
As for the Sichuan's First case(s) announced on Feb. 03 , I guess that these patients are really the first case(s) found in the province.
The patient named Liu (34-year-old), who actually has his official family registry in Jiangdong of Sichuan province, was diagnosed in Shanghai, I guess he was just working there in Shanghai and not Imported case from Sichuan.
(Shanghai people is very proud of their city, if he is an imported case, the HFPC Shanghai will definitely say he is "an imported case" but NOT Shanghai originated one: LOL)

In such context, these two cases seems to be really the first case(s) in that province for me.
Mickey

In addition to the Hunan's 37-7ear-old patient, Taiwan is reporting an imported case from Mainland Chaina.
Sorry for my poor translation!! I do not have much time! I am having a dinner with my friends: LOL

Taiwan found a Taiwanese business man diagnosed as H7N9 Avian-ful Now in ICU
Feb. 04, 2017,

According to Taiwan media, CDC of Taiwan announced this year?s first H7N9 imported case.
Patient is 69-year-old Taiwanese businessman.
Onset: during his stay in Guangdong Province on business, (started fevering)
Diagnosed on Feb. 4, 2017
He is now in ICU.
This made CDC to urge the Taiwan people who pay a visit to mainland China to be careful for H7N9.

Based upon the report, Meng Yijun , the ?Chief of CDC Taiwan? said Mainland China has increasing H7N9 cases recently. In Taiwan, has been had Five H7N9 cases from 2013 to now. Every cases found in Taiwan is infected during their stay in the Mainland and only one people had exposure to the live bird(s).
Dr. MengYijun pointed out that this 69-year-old man is Gaoxiong people.
On Jan. 23, 2017 When he was at work in Guangdong, occurred a fevering and feeling of chills, and then went to a local clinic.
Two days after his returning to Taiwan on Jan. 25, he went to a hospital and doubted it might be an influenza (A type). As the test result, however, was negative and no symptom of fever, he just got Anti-virus medicine and went back home for self-medication.

Though, as a fevering and coughing with sputum, dyspnea etc. started, he once again went to hospital to check if he is a suspected case of pneumonia or not. Feb. 01, he was hospitalized and then new type of influenza (A type) again, the second testing result was positive for H7N9 virus. He is now in ICU, but he is under condition of disordered consciousness.

I can't determine who F.I.C. is. The ip links back to a site in China and the forum says the poster kickingbird has not posted since 2006, but he/she is making current posts. Something is odd. At this point I can not link back to that site. I am not sure it is a good idea for a major Western site that is widely read to link to a China site who is reporting on H7N9. The Chinese government is concealing cases. This might be dangerous for the group at F.I.C. inside China. Your thoughts?

Our posters have the provincial health departments as bookmarks on their computers and find those reports independently of F.I.C. When we see a media report of a case we go to the province to obtain the official report.

As for the name of the case #699, her name is Gao (高) as FIC is describing in the following URL:

and
http://www.wsjsw.gov.cn/wsj/n422/n424/u1ai136834.html

Neither of the links give her name as Gao. I can not add her name unless you have something else to give me. Thanks!
