FOOD POISONING BLOCK-GANDHINAGAR, PHC:- PRANTIYA,VILLAGE :- Gift City (Construction site) 14 0 28/05/2012 2012-06-06 14:20:58 1000 Due to holiday on sunday some people had non-veg (Mutton) in there lunch and direct distribution of drinking water from borewell, so chlorination of water is not done. 14 people were affected due to food poisoning. --------------- Rapid Response team DSO, BHO, Dist. Epidemiologist,PHC Medical Officer and other para medical staff reached there in time and Survaillance done. During survaillance no new cases of food poisoning were found, some people having complain of abdominal pain were treated at the site.spot chlorination and adviced for regular cholrination. Amo ic Joint Director of Health Services, Dima Hasao, Add. CM&HO Dima Hasao, DSO, IDSP. As per the instruction of Joint Director she sent 3 medical teams to the affected areas including MMU in the Maibang block. IDSP staff immediately supply CB media for stool collection and H2S for testing of water. The teams found 32 cases in the affected area and 3 patients are found in the Maibang CHC. NO As per the instruction of the Joint Director a team of 3 doctors with Para-Medical persons from District Civil hospital has visited the affected areas and rendered medical help to the affected persons and the situation is now under control. The district MMU and 108 also engaged in treating and controlling the disease. Stool is collected and a process is under progress for sending to GMCH. IEC activities are also carried out. Acute diarrhoeal Disease Baurisai Village,HSC-Karaikela, Block Bandgaon, West Singhbhum 11 0 10/06/2012 2012-06-11 16:37:25 1000 All had history cases suffering with diarrhoea, vomiting and fever reported from Baurisai village. All cases treated symptomatically. 2 boatel water samples collected for biologicalcontamination purpose. Result awaited Outbreak reported from village Baurisai, CHC Bandgaon due to consumption of contaminated water. 5 patients were referred to the Sub- Divisional Hospital CKP and 4 patients were referred to Railway Hospital, CKP. For better treatment. Block team also reached to the affected locality. All cases treated with anti diarrhoeal drugs and ORS. Active surveillance done. IEC activity undertaken and health education given regarding hygienic and sanitation measures. Investigation Open 1. Follow up continued. 2. Health education camp held. 3. (Report awaited) 1. Base medical camp conducted from 06.06.2012 to till to date by the Medical Officer PHC Penugollu. 2. Para Medical Teams have been formed for round the clock services. 3. 4 water samples collected from the Open Well and overhead tank by the PHC staff of PHC Penugollu and send them to Regional Public Health Laboratory, Visakhapatnam for analysis. 4. 200 ORS packets were distributed. 5. 40 Houses disinfected 6. Primery treat was given, House to House surveillance, Antilarval Activities, Abate Activities, Fogging, IEC done. HI,BI,CI identification and action taken done. District Epidemiologist and Medical Specialist and Block RRT reached to the affected locality. Block Rapid Response Team reached affected locality House to house survey done for new fever cases and new diarrheal case daily form the date of outbreak. 2.All cases treated with ORS and chlorine tablets distributed for the chlorination of water 3.IEC activity undertaken and health education given regarding hygienic and sanitation measures Investigation Open As a result of continuous efforts on 12612 , 22 patients out of 29 has been discharged today while other 7 patients are stable and no new more case diarrhea has been reported on 1262012
