    The Romanian epizootics is caused by HPAI H5N1 virus and OIE has already received and published the immediate notification report provided by local authorities: http://www.oie.int/wahis/public.php?...&reportid=9047 (also here at FT).

    It seems a bit premature to state that another pandemic will arise soon, since the history is teaching us that a such event has not happened - at least since the start of the bacteriology and epidemiology studies in XIX century -: we should have around a decade, if the 1889/90 pandemic was followed by another in 1900 and 1918...

    But we must remain with the eyes well opened...
