Ministry of Agriculture has temporarily restricted poultry import from the Russian Astrakhan region, Kazpravda.kz reports citing the Ministry?s press service.

Mention should be made that on April 17, Kazakhstan Ministry of Agriculture issued a press release about the discovery of 70 dead pelicans, listed in the Red Book, in the shallow waters of the Kigach river in Atyrau region. A task team was formed to look into the cause of the birds? death, but the results are still not known.
