    SNOHOMISH COUNTY, Wash. — The Snohomish County Health Department has confirmed three additional measles cases since declaring an outbreak two weeks ago, bringing the total number of cases in the county to six.

    The latest case was confirmed on Tuesday in an unvaccinated child.

    Health officials said the child was infectious while attending an afternoon service at Slavic Christian Church Awakening in Mukilteo on Sunday, Jan. 18.

    Anyone who attended the church between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. that day may have been exposed to the virus, the health department said.​..

      Health district confirms measles case in Stevens County

      TEVENS COUNTY, Wash. -- A person living in Stevens County has contracted measles, marking the eighth confirmed case in Washington.

      The Northeast Tri-County Health District says the individual followed proper public health guidance, so they do not believe others have been in close contact.

      The district says if you suspect you've been exposed, call its office at 509-684-2262.​..

        The Brief

        The Washington State Department of Health says 26 measles cases have been confirmed in Washington in the first two months of 2026, already more than double the state's 12 cases reported in all of 2025.
        Officials say about 80% of cases are in children and all involve people who are unvaccinated or whose vaccination status is unknown, with the majority of cases in Snohomish and Clark counties.
        Nationwide, measles cases have surpassed 1,000 in 2026, signaling a resurgence of the disease that the United States declared eliminated in 2000.​..

        Snohomish County: 14 cases.
        Clark County: 8 cases.

          The Washington State Department of Health says​ there have been 26 confirmed cases of measles in 2026, which is more than double the amount in 2025 at 12 cases.

          24 cases this year were in people who were unvaccinated, with 2 listed as having an unknown vaccination status, according to the Department of Health.

          Most of those cases appeared in those 5 to 17 years old, WDOH says.

          Officials with UW Medicine held a media availability on Wednesday amid the alarming rise in cases, saying numbers may continue to rise with the World Cup and summer influx of visitors to western Washington...

            Grant County reports 2 confirmed measles cases in unvaccinated children, tracking exposure

            GRANT COUNTY, Wash. — Two unvaccinated children in Grant County from the same household have confirmed measles infections, prompting health officials to warn residents who may have been exposed and to double-check their vaccination status.

            The Grant County Health District said it was notified Monday, Mar. 17, of the two confirmed cases. The children were likely exposed through recent out-of-country travel.

            One child was initially hospitalized, and both children are now recovering at home.​..

              Measles diagnosed in Kootenai County resident who spent time in Sacred Heart emergency room

              Local health officials have identified a measles case in a Kootenai County resident who spent time in Spokane while infectious.

              The individual may have exposed measles to those in Spokane County while visiting Providence Sacred Heart Hospital for treatment. If someone was in the following locations between March 14 and March 15, they may have been exposed to measles.

                SPOKANE, Wash. — There is a confirmed measles infection in a Spokane County resident with multiple exposure locations, SRHD reports. Local public health officials do not believe there is any connection to the measles case reported earlier this month on March 19 that had exposures at Providence Sacred Heart emergency department.
