To date, on July 17, in Romania, 35,802 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed. Of the people confirmed positive, 24,598 were discharged, of which 22,312 patients were cured and 2,286 asymptomatic patients were discharged 10 days after detection.

Romania added 1,112 coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 41,275 on Thursday, July 23, the authorities announced in the daily report released at 13:00.
It is the highest number of daily cases reported since the start of the pandemic.

There have been 1,104 new cases of coronavirus in Romania in the past 24 hours out of only 7,574 processed tests. These are new cases which have had no previous positive test before. This is the sixth day with over 1,000 cases per day.
Overall, the tally has reached 45,902.
Apart from the newly confirmed infections, following new testing of the patients who had already tested positive for coronavirus, 258 have been reconfirmed positive.
Out of the total number of 45,902, 25,794 patients were declared cured and 3,440 were asymptomatic.

So far, 63,762 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Romania since the start of the pandemic.
30,585 patients were declared cured and 6,756 were asymptomatic.
Apart of the 1,215 newly confirmed infections, 613 patients who had already tested positive for COVID-19 have been reconfirmed positive following retesting.
So far, 2,764 people infected with COVID-19 have died in Romania with 35 deaths reported in the past 24 hours: 21 men and 14 women from Alba, Arad, Argeș, Bacău, Bihor, Bistrița – Năsăud, Brașov, Buzău, Caraș – Severin, D?mbovița, Dolj, Hunedoara, Ialomița, Iași, Maramureș, Mureș, Olt, Prahova, Sălaj, Timiș, Tulcea, Vaslui, Vrancea and Bucharest.

A total of 11 areas in Romania, including its capital Bucharest, are added to Germany’s high-risk countries list, after an increase of COVID-19 infections that have been recently reported in Romania.
Germany’s government warning against non-essential travel to Romania forced Germany’s Labor Minister to cancel his work trip to Romania, SchengenVisaInfo.com reports.
Along with Bucharest, Brasov, Prahova, Gorj and Vrancea are among the areas not recommended to travel unless for essential purposes. Citizens who arrive in Germany from any of these areas are obliged to take a mandatory test and follow quarantine rules if they test positive for the COVID-19.
