A total of 11 areas in Romania, including its capital Bucharest, are added to Germany’s high-risk countries list, after an increase of COVID-19 infections that have been recently reported in Romania.

Germany’s government warning against non-essential travel to Romania forced Germany’s Labor Minister to cancel his work trip to Romania, SchengenVisaInfo.com reports.

Along with Bucharest, Brasov, Prahova, Gorj and Vrancea are among the areas not recommended to travel unless for essential purposes. Citizens who arrive in Germany from any of these areas are obliged to take a mandatory test and follow quarantine rules if they test positive for the COVID-19.
