EDMONTON -- Alberta's Chief Medical Officer of Health announced two additional deaths and 187 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday.
It pushes the total number of infections in the province to 3,095 and the number of deaths to 61.
Of those patients infected, 1,273 have recovered, Dr. Deena Hinshaw said.
Of the two new deaths, one was a resident at the JB Wood Continuing Care facility in High Prairie.
There have been 367 cases in care homes across the province, as outbreaks have been confirmed at 29 different facilities...

Five more people in Alberta have died from COVID-19 and the province has reported 306 new cases of the illness.
That brings the total number of cases to 3,401 and the number of deaths to 66.
A total of 4,151 tests for the illness were conducted over the past 24 hours.
As of Wednesday, 70 people were in hospital with the illness, including 18 in intensive care beds.
As of Wednesday, 108,521 people have been tested, an average of 2,164 tests per day since March 4, Premier Jason Kenney said at a news conference in Edmonton.
The regional breakdown of the cases is:
Calgary zone: 2,396
Edmonton zone: 451
South zone: 303
North zone: 150
Central zone: 79

EDMONTON -- There are 319 new cases of COVID-19 in Alberta while another two people have died, health officials said Thursday.
It brings the total number of cases to 3,720 in Alberta and pushes the death toll to 68 people. Officials say 1,357 people have recovered. The day-over-day increase in cases is the largest yet in Alberta, after 306 cases were announced Wednesday.
Dr. Deena Hinshaw, Alberta's Chief Medical Officer of Health, said one of the new positive tests reported Thursday occurred in a worker from Sofina Foods in Calgary....

Alberta Health announced 216 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, bringing the provincial total to 4,233.
Case breakdown:
2,964 cases in Calgary zone
475 cases in Edmonton zone
510 cases in South zone
173 cases in North zone
83 cases in Central zone
28 cases in yet-to-be-confirmed zones
Currently, 77 people are in hospital, with 20 of them in intensive care, the province said.
Alberta Health said 385 cases are suspected of being community-acquired...

There were 216 additional cases of COVID-19 reported in Alberta on Monday, bringing the total of cases in the province to 4,696.
Alberta’s chief medical officer of health, Dr. Deena Hinshaw, also reported two additional deaths, bringing the provincial total to 75. Both the additional deaths were in the Calgary zone.
“I do not want this number of deaths to become just one more statistic,” Hinshaw said. “These cases illustrate that infection with this virus has serious consequences for many people.”...

Seven more people have died from COVID-19 in Alberta and the province has reported 315 new cases.
That brings the total number of deaths to 87, and the total number of cases to 5,165.
All seven deaths reported on Wednesday were at continuing care centres in Calgary, six of them at Clifton Manor.
Nursing homes and continuing care centres have been ravaged by the illness for weeks now, with a total of 503 cases — about 10 per cent of the total — in such facilities.
The toll that COVID-19 is taking on elderly populations prompted Dr. Deena Hinshaw, the province's Chief Medical Officer of Health, to issue new orders to combat the spread of coronavirus in continuing care centres...
