KOLKATA: Swine flu took the first life in Kolkata this year on Friday. A 56-year-old man died in Woodlands Nursing Home in Alipore, less than a week after another patient succumbed to H1N1 last Saturday.

While deceased Arup Haldar was from Kolkata, the other two swine flu victims this year were from Nadia's Kalyani and Taherpur, respectively.

Haldar was brought to Woodlands on Wednesday. According to hospital sources, he was critical by the time he was wheeled in. Along with shortness of breath, Haldar was admitted with bouts of vomiting, loose motions and coughing.

"The patient was a diabetic and was on insulin. His condition kept deteriorating and he was put on ventilation and haemodialysis support within hours of admission," said a source in Woodlands.

There is no increase in the awareness of swine flu

Swine flu
Minimum propaganda has not started yet at the government level. People are also confused with symptoms. However, four people have died in swine flu this season so far. Experts believe that if this trend continues, then this year, swine influenza may take a serious look like 2015.
A 56-year-old man died in a private hospital on Friday. A few days ago, another four-year-old child and one woman of Nadia were killed in another hospital with swine flu. A few months ago, a resident of Metiabadul died in swine flu. The authorities of the concerned hospitals said that they had reported all the death reports at the proper time. Even though health director Vishvaranjan Satpathy did not accept the news of death of one in this season. His statement, "The news of the death of three people spread on swine flu has spread. Investigations have shown that one of them died of lung cancer. The death certificate of the remaining two is not yet seen. So I can not say anything. But we have no news that swine flu has been admitted to the hospital. "
Experts say that the swine flu infection is spreading further due to the lack of awareness and infrastructure. If you have symptoms like fever, throat pain, headache, and respiratory symptoms, then consult a doctor quickly. But in most cases patients are neglecting the symptoms. As a result, it is late to start treatment. "This disease is contagious," said Arunangshu Talukder, physician of the Medical Department of Calcutta Medical College Hospital. So it is important to keep the affected people separate. Sneezing, breathing is the risk of infection. If the diagnosis is not diagnosed, the risk of spreading the infection increases. "The doctor Prabir Biswas said that the risk of getting infected with the swine flu in children, elderly, diabetic and intestines remains. It is important to take additional precautions.

Doctors said that due to climate change, swine flu infections such as other flu increases. Ever continuously burning in a sunny sun, and after that the AC continues to die. But due to this contradiction of temperature, people are getting infected with infection. Many people are neglecting the issue as a general fever. According to health department sources, there is not enough infrastructure in this city to test the swine flu. Officially tested at the School of Tropical Medicine and Niseeds. Apart from this, there are three infrastructure hospitals in the city.
