Vermont health officials confirm first measles case since 2018

For the first time since 2018, there’s a confirmed case of measles in Vermont but health officials say the risk to the public remains low.
Health officials learned of the case on April 10 when the Georgia Department of Public Health told them a group of 25 people were exposed to measles on an international flight to Atlanta. The person who has measles is part of an international group program.
Health officials say they provided guidance about the group isolating to reduce the risk of spread, and most have immunity to the disease. While there is a limited chance of exposure, health officials are asking anyone who was in the Hampton Inn in Colchester on April 17 before 3:45 p.m. to due the following:
