Uruguay registered only two cases of coronavirus in the last six days44 people are currently studying the disease, four of whom are in intensive care. Consequently, the Luis Lacalle Pou government has made progress with the reopening of different activities and services over the past few weeks.

For the fourth time in the last five days, Uruguay did not register new cases of coronavirus in the territory, after the 765 tests carried out throughout the day were negative.
According to the latest report provided by the authorities, there are currently 44 active cases in the country of the 1,049 that have been confirmed since the start of the pandemic. The total of deceased, meanwhile, amounts to 23.
Four people are in intensive care units, while the rest study the disease outside a health center. In addition, only seven of the 19 departments in which the country is divided have active cases.
Considering the low presence of the virus in the country, the government of President Luis Lacalle Pou has promoted the resumption of different activities and services, including classes and visits to shopping centers.
The last announcement of this nature took place on Thursday, when it was reported that the face-to-face religious services will return from June 19. The health protocol, approved by the government of Lacalle Pou, establishes several restrictions in the first phase of this restart of religious services in chapels, temples and synagogues.
"One celebration per day, the use of masks will be mandatory, there must be gel alcohol to enter the celebrations and there is a special request with the songs," Cardinal Sturla explained. "The second stage will be to be able to open to a greater capacity, from a third of the capacity to half and then all, and that there may be more than one celebration per day," he added.
The ceremonies cannot last more than 45 minutes and people over 65 are encouraged not to attend.
Most shopping malls, meanwhile, reopened on Tuesday under strict sanitary protocol. All had sanitizing mats, alcohol dispensers in the compulsory one and thermal imaging cameras at their entrances. If a customer's temperature exceeds 37 ? C, they will be prohibited from entering.
According to the protocol agreed with the health authorities, clothing that is touched or tested by customers must be disinfected with steam or kept isolated for 48 hours. While the testers must be used interleaved and after each use they will have to be disinfected.
Classes - which had begun a progressive normalization at the end of April - continued with the one that resumed from June 1, after two months in which they were mostly suspended or took place virtually. It is carried out in three stages.

The second phase will start from June 15. That week the activity of early childhood, public and private initial education from all over the country will return. As well as the common, practice and extended time public and private urban primary schools, except those of Montevideo, Canelones and metropolitan areas.
The third and last stage will be from June 29. Subrayado explains that it includes the reopening throughout the country of all other primary, secondary and technical education centers, both public and private. Since that week, establishments in Montevideo, the Metropolitan Area and Canelones are included.
In his announcement, Lacalle Pou clarified that "the return is voluntary."
