Meningitis risk rises in wake of flu season

Parents are being urged to be aware of the symptoms of meningococcal disease, which includes meningitis and septicaemia.
Public Health Wales is also contacting GPs about the link between outbreaks of flu and a rise in cases of meningococcal disease.
Children under five are thought to be most at risk, even if they have been vaccinated against meningococcal disease.
