Taiwan sees 338 cases of dengue fever in one week

TAIPEI -- The number of dengue fever cases had increased by 338 in the week ending Sept. 6, setting a single-week high for infections of the mosquito-borne disease, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) said Thursday.
Taiwan has reported 1,694 dengue fever cases this year, including 1,555 indigenous cases and 139 imported ones, the CDC said.
About 309 cases were seen during the same period of last year, according to the CDC.
