REGINA -- Saskatchewan reported 213 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday and identified 143 more cases of variants of concern (VoC).

Four more Saskatchewan people have died after testing positive for COVID-19. Three people in the Saskatoon area have died; one in their 40s, one in their 50s and one in their 70s. The fourth death was a person in their 70s in Regina.

There are 2,443 active cases in the province. Two hundred eighty-four recoveries were reported on Wednesday.

One hundred eighty-four people are in hospital, including 42 in intensive care...

The number of Saskatchewan COVID-19 patients under intensive care is at its lowest point in nearly a month.

On Thursday, health officials reported 38 people in ICUs across the province, which is down by four from the previous day and the lowest count of infected ICU patients since April 2, when there were 37.

Regina continues to bear the brunt of ICU cases, however, with 22 people in ICU as of Thursday.

Officials also reported two new cases of the P1 coronavirus variant of concern, both in the northwest region. Saskatchewan has now confirmed 21 cases of the more-transmissible P1 variant of concern provincewide.

In total, 205 new cases of COVID-19 were announced on Thursday, based on 3,306 tests. There was one new death, a person aged 80 or over in the northwest. Saskatchewan has the fifth highest per capita death rate of all provinces.

Four COVID-19-related deaths were reported in Saskatchewan on Friday, bringing the province?s total up to 491 since the pandemic began.

Three of the recently deceased were in their 40s, 60s and 70s from the Regina, far north east zone and south central zones, while the residence of another in their 60s is still pending, according to a press release.

Health officials said on Friday there were 264 new cases, with the overall infection total in Saskatchewan now at 41,098. Regina leads the province with 79 new infections.

The seven-day average of new daily infections is up to 241 from 239 on Thursday.

According to the provincial government, 222 new variants of concern (VOC) cases have been identified in Saskatchewan while the total (6,794) is reported as follows: far north west (121), far north east (3), north west (203), north central (111), north east (20), Saskatoon (765), central west (81), central east (296), Regina (3,717), south west (184), south central (510) and south east (700) zones. The residences of 83 VOC cases are pending.

The province?s hospitals are currently providing care for 173 patients with COVID-19 ? 136 are receiving inpatient care and 37 are in intensive care....

REGINA -- The Government of Saskatchewan reported 189 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, along with two deaths. There were 121 cases identified as variants of concern.

Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe and the province?s Chief Medical Health Officer, Dr. Saqib Shahab, will provide a COVID-19 update at 3 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon. CTVNewsRegina.ca and CTVNewsSaskatoon.ca will stream the event live.

Of the two deaths, one person was in their 70s from the Far North West zone. The other was a person in the 19 and under age group from the North West zone. The second death occurred in February, but has been deemed a COVID-19 death following investigation.

REGINA -- Saskatchewan reported 156 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday and 265 recoveries.

There were no new COVID-19 related deaths to report. This is the first time the province has reported zero deaths since April 20.

There are 2,158 active cases in the province. The seven-day average of new COVID-19 cases is 216, or 17.6 new cases per 100,000 people.

On Thursday Saskatchewan?s test-positivity rate is 4.46 per cent. This is the first time the test positivity rate in the province has dipped below five per cent since March 30.

One COVID-19-related death was reported in Saskatchewan on Friday, bringing the province?s total up to 502 since the pandemic began.

The recently deceased was reported to be in their 70s and from the south west zone, according to a press release.

Health officials said on Friday there were 295 new cases, bringing the overall infection total in Saskatchewan to 42,695. The Saskatoon zone led the province with 98 new infections.

The seven-day average of new daily infections is up to 221 from 216 on Thursday.

According to the provincial government, 210 new variants of concern (VOC) cases have been identified in Saskatchewan while the total (7,905) reported as follows: far north west (172), far north east (6), north west (262), north central (190), north east (43), Saskatoon (930), central west (90), central east (339), Regina (4,119), south west (246), south central (576) and south east (817) zones. The residences of 115 VOC cases are pending.

The province?s hospitals are currently providing care for 174 patients with COVID-19: 136 are receiving inpatient care and 38 are in intensive care...

WINNIPEG -- Three more Manitobans have died from COVID-19, and the province is reporting another 488 new cases of the virus on Saturday.

Health officials said one death is a woman in her 20s from the Winnipeg health region.

A man in his 70s from the Winnipeg health region and a man in his 80s from the Prairie Mountain Health region also died from the virus, with both of those cases linked to the B.1.1.7 variant of concern.

The death toll from COVID-19 in Manitoba is 990.

Manitoba also announced 488 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total to 41,425 since the pandemic was declared in March 2020. Three previous cases were removed from the total due to a data correction.

Winnipeg?s test positivity rate is 10.5 per cent, while the provincial test rate is 12.6 per cent.

The majority of the new cases were in Winnipeg, with 389 cases reported. The Northern Health Region had nine cases, the Prairie Mountain Health Region had 30, the Southern Health Region had 43 and 17 cases were reported in the Interlake-Eastern Health Region.

There are 139 people with active cases of COVID-19 in hospital, including 44 people in intensive care units. In addition, 61 people have been hospitalized who are no longer infectious with COVID-19 but still require care, while ten patients are no longer infectious but still need critical care.

Manitoba currently has 3,237 active cases and 37,198 people have recovered...

REGINA -- The Saskatchewan government recorded 186 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, along with 266 recoveries and four new deaths.

Three people who died were from the Northwest zone; one was in their 30s, another was in their 70s, and a third person was over the age of 80. The fourth death was a person in their 60s from the South Central zone.

REGINA -- The Government of Saskatchewan reported five COVID-19 deaths, 223 new cases and 232 recoveries on Thursday.

The five new deaths bring the province?s total to 513. Of the new deaths, one was a person in their 60s from the Far North East Zone, two were people in their 70s from the Far North East and North Central zones; and two were in the 80-plus age group from the North West and Regina zones.

A total of 161 people are in hospital related to COVID-19, including 35 in intensive care.

Saskatchewan currently has 2,032 active cases, as of Thursday. The province?s seven-day average for new cases is 212, or 17.3 new cases per 100,000 population.
