The H1N1 virus appeared in April in United States and Mexico and spread rapidly around the world. The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared a pandemic alert.

United States, with 211 deaths, is the country with the highest toll reported in the world because of the virus, followed by Argentina with 137 and Mexico 124.

Confirms eighth death from influenza in the country AH1N1

19:10 | The victim is a woman of 40 years resident in Hu?naco who suffered from heart and asthma. Today it is known, 164 cases of influenza with the 2390 total already.

The flu is progressing AH1N1 unstoppable in the country. Today the Ministry of Health (MINSA) has confirmed 164 new cases and the eighth death from influenza.

According to a communique Minsa, the fatality was a woman of 40 years resident in Huanuco, who died in hospital EsSalud of that city.

He said the ministry was suffering from severe heart disease and asthma, therefore, belonged to the population groups at risk for this disease.

On cases of influenza-infected, Minsa said that 149 are in Lima, Callao in five, three in Ancash, two in Cusco, Ayacucho in two, one in Junin, Lambayeque on one and one in Cajamarca.

These new cases are now in medical supervision, home insulation, antiviral and evolving favorably. With them are, so far, 2390 confirmed cases of the new influenza AH1N1 in the country.
