As recorded in Schedule Weekly notifiable nationally, ILI consultations accumulated in the SE 1 (-2012 December 30 to January 05, 2013) amounted to 3968, showing an increase of 51.8% over to EW 52, from 2614 consultations in the week before the 3968 consultations in week 1, with a rate of 59.5 per 100,000 population, ranking warning strip endemic corridor.

2. - Sentinel Surveillance: Monitoring of ILI consultations and hospitalized SARI:
In sentinel surveillance was a rise from the previous week (163/4.535) in regard to the proportion of ILI consultations, representing 8.6% (200/2.316) of all searches.

During the SE 1, the proportion of hospitalized for severe acute respiratory illness (SARI) in sentinel sites showed a decrease from the previous week (40/1.406), being 0.8% (12/1.518).
The highest number of cumulative cases of SARI (12) are in groups of 5 to 19 years and older than 60 years.
In the SE 1 there were no deaths or ICU revenue in SARI sentinel.

1. Universal Surveillance: Trend and intensity of the activity of influenza-like illness (ILI).
As recorded in Schedule Weekly notifiable nationally, ILI consultations accumulated in the SE 2 (06 to 12 January, 2013) amounted to 9335 showing an increase of 35.3% over the SE 1, going from 3968 consultations in the week before the 5367 consultations in week 2, with a rate of 80.4 per 100,000 population in the Gaza insinuating corridor endemic epidemic.

2. - Sentinel Surveillance: Monitoring of ILI consultations and hospitalized SARI:
In sentinel surveillance in regard to the proportion of ILI consultations, there was an increase from the previous week (244/4.634), representing the SE 2 6% (311/5.498) of total queries.

During the SE 2, the proportion of hospitalized for severe acute respiratory illness (SARI) in sentinel sites showed a slight increase from the previous week (25/1.518), being 2.7% (45/1.660).
