As recorded in Schedule Weekly Notifiable, ILI consultations accumulated to SE 41 (15/10/2011) amounted to 252,163 notifications, corresponding to this week, ILI consultations 5386, representing an incidence rate of 82 , 1 per 100,000 people across the country, in all ages, with a decrease of 15% compared to the SE 40.
Of the 18 health regions, only 3 departments reported an increase in queries regarding the SE 40. Alto Paraguay showed an increase of over 50%. Greater than 20% increase recorded by the Department of Alto Parana and the Central Department presented an increase of 2.1%.
In the last week the event continues in the Gaza epidemic, as shown in the [epidemic level], but with a decrease from the previous week (Figure 10), showing a decrease in the number of cases to compare the same weeks of 2010. (Figure 11).

At week 41 with respect to the proportion of hospitalizations for SARI between hospitalizations for all causes (2.5%), the proportion of income between SARI ICU admissions to ICU from all causes (11.8%) and, the proportion of deaths from SARI among the dead from all causes (3%) presented a similar situation last week with a variation of less than 3%.

Of all patients hospitalized for SARI 28.5% had one or more factors
of risk. The most frequent were chronic respiratory disease, including
asthma (43%) heart disease (43%), diabetes (19%) and obesity (14.3%).

Influenza during the 2010-2011 season and about 6% received therapy
Oseltamivir. (Table 6). So far this year, the cumulative total of cases died

From the SE 1 to SE 41 1669 have been processed respiratory specimens from [sentinel] hospitals SARI, the percentage of positive cumulative 20.2% (337/1669). The data accumulated to indicate 41 SE greater proportion of RSV (62%), followed by influenza A H3 (26%) and Adenovirus smaller proportion (6%) and Parainfluenza (6%). So far this year has identified a single positive sample for Influenza A H1N1 2009. (Figure 14)
Monitoring of viral circulation Hospital SARI surveillance, identification shows sporadic influenza A / H3 and Adenovirus during EW 39. In the last two weeks no positive samples from reported cases of SARI surveillance sites. (Figure 15).
