Prince Edward Island reported Friday that 17 people are being treated for COVID-19 in hospital, including two people in intensive care.

Public health says there is one other person in hospital who tested positive for COVID-19, but that person was not admitted due to the virus, and is being treated for illnesses other than COVID-19...

... Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Heather Morrison announced 215 new COVID-19 cases and 417 recoveries as of 8 a.m. Friday. The new cases are under investigation.

P.E.I. has seen an average of 235 new cases per day over the last seven days.

Currently, there are 2,460 active cases of COVID-19 being reported on P.E.I.

To date, the province has announced 7,274 positive cases of the virus...

Prince Edward Island reported Wednesday that there are still 15 people being treated for COVID-19 in hospital - this remains unchanged from Tuesday’s report on hospitalizations - including two patients in intensive care.

Dr. Heather Morrison, P.E.I.'s chief public health officer, says there are eight other people in hospital who were admitted for reasons other than COVID-19, but they either tested positive for the virus when they were admitted, or tested positive after they were admitted.

On Wednesday, 238 new COVID-19 cases and 210 recoveries were announced. Morrison says the new cases remain under investigation.

P.E.I. has seen an average of 224 new cases per day over the last seven days.

Currently, there are 2,253 active cases of COVID-19 being reported on P.E.I...

Prince Edward Island reported a drop in hospitalizations Thursday. There are now 12 people being treated for COVID-19 in hospital, which is three fewer than the 15 reported Wednesday. There are still two patients in intensive care.

Health officials in the province say there are three other people in hospital who were admitted for reasons other than COVID-19, but they either tested positive for the virus when they were admitted, or tested positive after they were admitted.

On Thursday, 186 new COVID-19 cases and 157 recoveries were announced. Morrison says the new cases remain under investigation.

Prince Edward Island is reporting 10 people in hospital due to COVID-19 on Friday, including one person in intensive care.

P.E.I. Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Heather Morrison says there are six other people in hospital who were admitted for reasons other than COVID-19, but tested positive for the virus on admission, or tested positive after being admitted.

The province says one person between the ages of 40 and 59 has died from COVID-19.

P.E.I. is reporting 199 new cases of the virus, along with 273 recoveries. The new cases are under investigation.

As of Friday, there are 2,207 active cases of COVID-19 confirmed on the island...

P.E.I. is also reporting 186 new cases of the virus, along with 222 recoveries on Monday. The new cases are still under investigation.

As of Monday, there are 1,824 active cases of COVID-19 confirmed on the island and there have been 9,104 cases of COVID-19 since the pandemic began.

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — As P.E.I. gets closer to easing public health restrictions, chief public health officer Dr. Heather Morrison announced 264 new COVID-19 cases and one death.

Morrison provided the update during a briefing as she discussed the state of COVID-19 in the province and plans to start easing restrictions.

With the new cases, Morrison said there are nine people in hospital because of COVID-19, including one in the intensive care unit. There are five others in hospital for other reasons who have tested positive for COVID-19.

Morrison said the one new death was a person over the age of 80.

She also said there are 1,819 active cases in P.E.I. and 268 recoveries...

The average number of daily COVID-19 cases continues to drop on P.E.I., statistics from Health P.E.I. suggest.

Over the last seven days there have been an average of 168 cases per day. A week ago, on Feb. 2., there was an average of 224 cases per day for the previous seven days.

On Wednesday, Health P.E.I. reported 187 new cases of COVID-19.

P.E.I. has 1,994 active cases, down from 2,253 a week ago. There have been 9,555 cases in total.

As of Feb. 7, there had been 45 hospitalizations due to COVID-19.

Currently, there are seven people in hospital being treated for COVID-19, including one person in the intensive care unit. Four others were admitted for other reasons and later tested positive.

About 37 per cent of total cases were people between the ages of 20 and 39, as of Feb. 7...

The chief public health officer for the province, Dr. Heather Morrison, says there are six people in hospital due to COVID-19, and five people in hospital who were admitted for other reasons, but were positive on admission or tested positive after being admitted.

There are 204 new cases of COVID-19 and 363 recoveries in the province. The new cases are still under investigation.

Prince Edward Island is reporting one additional death related to COVID-19 on Saturday. Officials say the individual is in the 60 to 79 age range.

The province is also reporting eight people in hospital due to COVID-19 Saturday.
