The Delaware General Health District is now investigating six possible cases of the mumps in Delaware County, while the number of cases of mumps continues to grow in the Columbus outbreak.

At this time, all six cases are suspect, and an outbreak in Delaware County has not been declared, nor are its numbers being counted by Columbus Public Health, which is leading the investigation of cases in the outbreak...

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The mumps outbreak has now grown to more than 100 reported cases in Central Ohio.

According to Columbus Public Health, as of March 28, there were 103 cases reported in Franklin County.

Health officials in Delaware County also announced Friday that they are investigating seven suspected cases of the mumps.

Of the confirmed cases, 81 patients were linked to The Ohio State University...

...The university-linked cases include residents in Columbus, Franklin, Fairfield, Licking, Union, and Hamilton counties.

The Ohio Department of Health reports additional cases, unrelated to Ohio State, in Ashland, Butler, Coshocton, Lucas, Medina, Pike and Richland counties...

The number of cases of mumps in Central Ohio has risen to 111, with the bulk reported in the Ohio State University community.

Public health officials say 89 of the patients either attend, work for, or have other strong ties OSU. COLUMBUS, Ohio - Five more reports brings the number of confirmed cases of mumps in Central Ohio to 116 as of Tuesday afternoon.

According to Columbus Public Health, as of April 1, there were 116 cases reported in Franklin County.

Health officials in Delaware County announced last week that they are investigating seven suspected cases of the mumps.

...Ten cases have been reported to the Delaware General Health District as of Wednesday afternoon, none of which have been confirmed by lab results. Until ODH made the announcement Wednesday, the cases in Delaware County were considered suspect ? clinically presenting as mumps but unconfirmed by labs ? and were not counted as part of the outbreak in Columbus and the surrounding areas...

...Columbus Public Health also announced an increase in cases Wednesday, with 24 community cases in Columbus and Franklin County and 95 cases reported in Franklin, Fairfield, Licking, Union and Hamilton counties related to the OSU outbreak, for a total of 119 cases...

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Four more people have been diagnosed with mumps in Central Ohio, bringing the total to 123 cases.

According to Columbus Public Health, as of April 3, there were 123 cases reported in Franklin County.

In addition, health officials in Delaware County announced Wednesday that they are investigating ten probable cases of the mumps, in patients ages 11 to 47.

Of the confirmed cases, 99 patients were linked to The Ohio State University...

CHILLICOTHE ? While the case count for mumps in central Ohio continues to grow ? having surpassed 120 ? Ross County remains at just one probable case, after eliminating a couple of additional suspected cases from the list late last week.

None of the infections have gained ?confirmed? status, and none appear to have a clear link to the Ohio State-related outbreak...

Mumps Cases Top 150 In Two Central Ohio Counties

COLUMBUS, Ohio - A milestone has been achieved in the central Ohio mumps outbreak.

100 cases are now connected to Ohio State University.

The university and community health departments are promoting vaccination, isolation and infection control to try to slow the outbreak.

Still, the numbers keep creeping up: 153 total cases now in Franklin and Delaware Counties.

"The outbreak is literally growing, numbers are increasing, and it's exactly what we expected," said the Columbus Health Department's Jose Rodriguez.

He says he has no clue how far and wide this mumps outbreak may spread...

CIRCLEVILLE - The recent outbreak of mumps in central Ohio may be moving into Pickaway County, as the local health department reports one probably case and two suspected cases of the disease.

"None of them have been hospitalized," said Danny Miller, infectious disease nurse for the Pickaway County Health Department. "And one of these cases is connected to the community outbreak at Ohio State University..."

A case of mumps was reported at Delaware City Schools late Wednesday as the number of mumps cases in central Ohio climbed to 193.

In Delaware County, the number of reported mumps cases reached 20, including two cases connected to an outbreak originating at Ohio State University. The majority of cases continued to be reported in Franklin County: 110 cases related to the OSU outbreak in Columbus with 3 cases reported in other areas of the county and 35 community-outbreak cases in Columbus with 15 reported in other areas of Franklin County...

There 199 cases of mumps reported in Central Ohio right now. And as Ohio Public Radio?s Jo Ingles reports, most of those are related to the outbreak at Ohio State University.

In the latest figures provided by health departments in Columbus, Franklin County and Delaware County, 126 of those 199 cases are related to the outbreak at Ohio State University. The victims range in age from 9 months old to 70 years old. One hundred twenty-six are female and 73 are male...

...As of Friday, 21 mumps cases have been reported in Delaware County, two of which are connected the initial outbreak at The Ohio State University. Columbus Public Health is now reporting 173 known mumps cases in Franklin County, 115 of which are linked to the OSU outbreak and 40 of which are part of a community-wide outbreak.

OSU remains the epicenter of the outbreak, with 126 cases of the total reported cases connected to the campus since January when the first case was reported...

...In total, 11 counties have identified mumps cases. In addition to Delaware and Franklin counties, Marion, Allen, Union, Pickaway and Licking counties have identified mumps cases part of the community-wide outbreak; Athens, Belmont, Fairfied, Hamilton and Licking counties are all noting cases related to the OSU outbreak.

In total, 204 cases have been identified by ODH and CPH...
