[h=1]Swine flu toll rises to 29 in Odisha[/h] Bhubaneswar: The death toll in swine flu has increased to 29 in Odisha as two more persons succumbing to the H1N1 virus, official sources today.
While one of the affected two persons died during treatment at SCB Medical College and Hospital at Cuttack, another succumbed at AIIMS-Bhubaneswar.
Of the 24 swab samples tested at the Regional Medical and Research Centre (RMRC) here today, 5 were found positive.
As many as 297 persons have so far been tested positive for the vector-borne disease in the State, an official said.

Bhubaneswar: The death toll in swine flu has climbed to 31 in Odisha with 24 districts coming under the grip of the disease.
Official sources said 311 people have so far been tested positive for the vector borne disease in the state.

The latest death report came from the SCB Medical College Hospital in Cuttack, a health department official said adding that the number of persons infected by H1N1 virus also increased to 329.
Of the total 978 samples tested, 329 were found positive to the H1N1 virus, the official said.
Meanwhile, dengue has claimed the lives of at least three persons in the state recently, the sources said.

Bhubaneswar: The death toll in swine flu has climbed to 36 in Odisha while 345 people have so far been tested positive for the vector borne disease in the state.
The state health department issued advisories to all private-run hospitals to put in place treatment facilities for suspected swine flu patients.

According to health department sources, while one H1N1 positive patient died at the Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) hospital, the other succumbed at the Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS) and SUM Hospital in the city last evening.
Reports say four more swabs tested positive with the influenza virus on Monday taking the total number of patients affected by the disease in the state to 350. The fresh positive sample were detected at the CARE Hospital in Bhubaneswar and VIMSAR in Burla.
