14 of those infected with COVID-19 in the Republic of Moldova are currently in an extremely serious condition. This was announced by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection.

In addition to the 14, five other patients are connected to assisted breathing, their total number being 19. At the same time, among those hospitalized, 218 patients are in serious condition, and 524 are of medium severity.

According to MSMPS, another 70 people were treated by COVID-19 and discharged from hospital institutions.

In the Republic of Moldova, so far, 3,304 cases of COVID-19 infection have been confirmed. Of these, 94 people died and 895 patients were treated.

Death 112: 63-year-old man, from Chisinau, transferred from SCM “Archangel Michael” to IMSP Institute of Emergency Medicine on April 22, 2020, in very serious condition. Comorbidities: hypertension gr. II, diabetes, obesity gr. III.

Death 113: 68-year-old man from Bălţi municipality, transferred from SR Bălţi to IMSP Institute of Urgent Medicine on 21.04.2020, in very serious condition. Comorbidities: hypertension gr. II, obesity gr. II.

Death 114: 68-year-old woman from Falesti district. Hospitalized in serious condition on April 28 in the Republican Clinical Hospital, transferred from SR Falesti. Comorbidities: hypertension gr. II, respiratory failure, heart failure.

Death 115: 72-year-old man from Cantemir district. Admitted to the Cantemir District Hospital, on April 3. Comorbidities: psychiatric illness, somatic diseases.

Death 116: Man, 70 years old, from Bălţi municipality, hospitalized on April 28, in serious condition at the Bălţi Clinical Hospital. Comorbidities: Grade III hypertension, cardiovascular disease.

Currently, there are 3771 cases of infection with the new Coronavirus in the Republic of Moldova, of which 431 cases in Transnistria.

Health status of infected persons: 237 - severe condition (of which 24 are connected to artificial respiration), 566 - medium severity, the rest in satisfactory condition. Also, at present, 72 children infected with COVID-19 are hospitalized, the state of health being of medium and satisfactory severity, 1 child in serious condition.

In total, 960 cases of infection are confirmed among the employees of the health system, among which: doctors-236, nurses-344, janitors-58, paramedics-1, pharmacists-15, auxiliary staff-306 people.

To date, 1,182 people have been treated, 68 of whom were discharged yesterday, and 116 others have died from COVID-19.

Updating data on the epidemiological situation through COVID-19 infection, May 11

To date, 4,927 cases of COVID-19 infection have been confirmed in the Republic of Moldova, of which 606 in Transnistria.

In the last 24 hours, within the COVID-19 Center, 33 patients with suspicion of COVID-19 were hospitalized.

Health status of infected persons: 251 - severe condition (21 patients on assisted breathing), 458 - medium severity, other patients in satisfactory condition.

During yesterday, 22 people were discharged. A total of 1980 people were treated.

To date, 1188 cases of infection have been confirmed among health system employees, including: doctors-283, nurses-434, felchers-63, paramedics-1, pharmacists-19, auxiliary staff-388 people. 477 medical workers were treated.

At the same time, in the last 24 hours, 2 deaths were registered caused by COVID-19 infection:

Death 170: 88-year-old woman from Falesti district, hospitalized at the Balti Clinical Hospital. Bilateral pneumonia, acute respiratory failure.

Death 171: 80-year-old woman, from Bălţi municipality, hospitalized at Bălți Clinical Hospital, on April 13, 2020. Comorbidities: hypertension gr. III, cardio-respiratory failure, obesity gr. III.
