The Massachusetts table shows a total of 33 deaths, but the numbers in the table only add up to 32.

Table 4. Confirmed H1N1 cases in Massachusetts, April 26, 2009 – April 8, 2010

Age group - Hospitalized - Deaths

0-4 years - 91 - 2
5-12 years - 86 - 1
13-18 years - 42 - 1
19-25 years - 29 - 2
26-44 years - 50 - 7
45-64 years - 77 - 12
65+ years - 27 - 7

Total - 402 - 33

As shown in Table 4 above, school-aged individuals (5-18 years) have been primarily affected by H1N1, with approximately 60% of cases age 18 or younger. The median age of cases is 15 and cases ranged from 0 to 92 years. To date, males and females have been equally impacted by H1N1. Overall, 402 cases have been hospitalized (20%) and 33 cases have died. Of the 33 deaths, 28 had underlying conditions.

Re: Massachusetts Week 13: No Activity One new death (total deaths 33)

Re: Massachusetts Week 13: No Activity One new death (total deaths 33)

I totally missed that! Going back to the previous week's report, it does say total 32. The number was changed to 33 this week; ONE NEW DEATH.
