Health Minister, Khumbize Kandodo Chiponda, confirmed the alarming development at a media briefing in Zomba on Thursday, highlighting the need for urgent action to contain the spread of the disease.

According to the latest figures provided by the Ministry of Health, Nkhata Bay has reported 369 cases, Karonga 224 cases, and Nkhotakota 214 cases.

The outbreak is spreading rapidly, with new cases emerging in Lilongwe as well.
