Two more die of H1N1 in Mumbai, toll reaches 29
The cases of H1N1 are getting steadily diagnosed with 184 cases and seven deaths recorded by the BMC in July alone.
Two more persons have died due to H1N1 infection in the first week of August, taking the death toll to 29, data from the civic health department indicated Wednesday.
The latest victims are a 42-year-old woman from Jogeshwari (west) and a 2-year-old boy from Fanaswadi.

Comment: Maharashtra last experienced a significant monsoon H1N1 wave as the third wave of the pandemic of 2009-10. The number of fatalities reported from January to August this year has exceeded 550. In the corresponding period in 2010, 305 deaths were reported.
