Indore, Oct 8 (PTI) A 24-year-old man died of swine flu taking the toll due to H1N1 virus to 34 in the city this year, a senior official said today.
The man hailing from neighbouring Dewas district, who was tested positive for H1N1, died during treatment at the MY Hospital hospital here yesterday, said Asha Pandit, district in-charge of Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP).

One swine flu positive girl undergoing treatment at Isolation ward died during morning hours on Tuesday. Condition of two patients, one swine flu positive, is critical and one suspect is undergoing treatment at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Government Medical College and Hospital.


Nodal Officer, Swine Flu, Dr Deepak Barkhade informed one girl aged about 20 years was admitted in serious condition about six days back. Her platelet was continuously decreasing inspite of Tamiflu and other anti-swine flu and emergency medicines being given to her. She was brought on the ventilator. ?We had administered platelets, which was repeatedly decreasing. She succumbed during early morning hours on Tuesday.

Toddler becomes 35th victim of swine flu in Indore

Indore, Oct 12 (PTI) A one-year-old boy died of swine flu in a hospital in the city today, perhaps becoming the youngest victim of the H1N1 virus infection in Madhya Pradesh.
With this, the number of deaths due to swine flu in the city so far this year has risen to 35.
"A one-year old boy died during treatment at government-run Maharaja Yashwantrao Hospital," said Dr Asha Pandit, district in-charge, Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP).

[h=2]Woman dies of swine flu in Indore[/h] Indore, Oct 23 A 48-year-old woman today died of swine flu taking the toll due to H1N1 virus infection to 36 in the city this year.
The woman hailing from Shajapur district died during treatment at a private hospital where she was admitted 10 days ago, Asha Pandit, district in-charge of the Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP), said.
She said that as of now 12 persons are being treated for swine flu in different hospitals in the city. Of them, condition of 11 is critical.
Pandit said 128 patents have tested positive for H1N1 since January 1 this year. Of them, 36 people have died.
The deceased include 21 from Indore and rest from other districts who had come here for treatment, she added.
