Of these 3,034 infections precisely identified, 510 people are non-residents. The average age is 46, with a male / female ratio of 50.4% and 49.6%. This represents an increase of 64 new cases in the last 24 hours, half as much as the day before.

Two additional deaths are to be deplored between Tuesday and Wednesday, which brings the death toll to 46 dead (the patient from Grand Est who died is not counted by the authorities). The median age of the victims is 86 years.

In addition, 231 people are currently hospitalized - identical data the day before - including 34 in intensive care (figure which does not include the 10 patients from the Grand Est). But to date, 354 people have been discharged from the hospital (44 more than the day before).

Falling tests

It should also be noted that the number of tests carried out since the start of the crisis amounted to 26,573, or 871 additional screenings compared to the previous day. A declining number, however (-540 tests in 24 hours).

Covid-19 in Luxembourg: six new deaths, fewer hospitalizations

According to the latest figures released by the Luxembourg authorities on Thursday, relating to the progression of the coronavirus epidemic, 3,115 cases and 52 deaths have been confirmed to date.

Of these 3,115 infections precisely identified, 521 people are non-residents. The average age is 46, with a male / female ratio of 50.4% and 49.6%. This represents an increase of 81 new cases in the last 24 hours. This number has been below the 100 new cases mark for a few days.

Six additional deaths are to be deplored between Wednesday and Thursday, which brings the toll to 46 dead (the patient from Grand Est who died is not counted by the authorities). The median age of the victims is 87 years.

In addition, 220 people are currently hospitalized, including 30 in intensive care (figure which does not include the 10 patients from the Grand Est). The number has been trending down for the past few days and 374 people have been released from the hospital (20 more than the day before).

Regarding screenings, 27,521 tests have been carried out since the start of the crisis, an additional 948 compared to the previous day.

15 new confirmed cases of coronavirus take the total number of infections in the Grand Duchy to 3,307. The death toll has been revised from 69 to 67.

The new figures follow a substantial drop in new cases on Monday (11 new cases and three deaths) and Sunday (also 11 new cases but four deaths).

31 patients are currently in intensive care. Another 161 are hospitalised. The number of deaths was revised to 67. According to the Ministry of Health, a mistake occurred during Monday's count.

71 new confirmed cases of coronavirus take the total number of infections in the Grand Duchy to 3,444. The death toll was revised down by 1, to 68.

35 patients are currently in intensive care, up 2 from yesterday. Another 170 (+12) are hospitalised.

A total of 552 patients have been discharged from the hospital, up from 526 on Tuesday.

31,660 tests have been carried out since the outbreak of the pandemic.
