Eighteen new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Lithuania over the past 24 hours, bringing the country's total count to 2,283, the Health Ministry said on Tuesday morning.

Three of the new reported infections were contracted abroad. A person returned to Lithuania from the Netherlands, another one from Spain. The third case is a foreign worker employed at a logistics company in Kaunas who arrived in Lithuania from Ukraine.

Four cases, diagnosed in Kaunas, have been linked to an outbreak at a popular bar, Adform Kiemelis. The National Public Health Centre (NVSC) says that people who visited the bar since August 5 could have been exposed to the virus.
