Lithuania Coronavirus Covid-19 - 3,243 cases, 86 deaths

Four new coronavirus cases were confirmed in Lithuania over Monday, bringing the total number of infections to 1,639, the country's Health Ministry said on Tuesday.

Of them, 401 are considered active cases, while 1,165 people have already recovered.

So far, 65 people have died from the virus in Lithuania, and another eight patients who had the virus have died from other causes
 
Lithuania confirmed three new Covid-19 cases over Wednesday, bringing the country's total coronavirus infection count to 1,687, the Health Ministry said on Thursday.

Based on the latest data, 1,273 people have already recovered and 344 are considered active cases.

So far, 71 people have died from Covid-19 in the country and another nine coronavirus-infected patients have died from other causes.

On Thursday, Lithuania has detected 8 new coronavirus cases. Since the outbreak of the pandemic 1 792 COVID-19 cases has been recorded.

76 patients died from the novel coronavirus. 10 other people died from other reasons. 1 462 people have already recovered. Since 1st of June Lithuania has recorded 18 imported cases. Lithuania has already made 386 194 tests, 4 969 - on Thursday. The country ended the lockdown on 17th of June.

One new case of the coronavirus has been confirmed in Lithuania over the past 24 hours, bringing the country's total to 1,818, the country's Health Ministry said on Wednesday.

Based on the latest statistics, 206 people are active cases, 1,524 are considered to have recovered and 81 are in isolation.

Seventy-eight people have died of Covid-19 in the country so far, and another ten coronavirus-infected patients have died of other causes

Lithuania brings back mandatory facemask wearing

The Lithuanian government decided on Wednesday, July 29, to reintroduce the requirement to wear face masks in shops and on public transport as of Saturday in a bid to curb the spread of the coronavirus. Face masks will not be mandatory in restaurants and other catering establishments and at sports and cultural events.

For the first time in a while, two Baltic countries have registered double digits of new coronavirus cases. During the past day to Friday, July 31, Estonia and Lithuania confirmed two new infections of COVID-19, while Latvia found three.

Lithuania had 16 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, July 30. The latest information on Lithuania shows a total of 2,075 infections since the start of the pandemic. The number of COVID-19-related deaths in Lithuania is still at 80, whereas the number of recovered persons has reached 1 644.

Ten new coronavirus cases were diagnosed in Lithuania over Tuesday, the National Public Health Centre (NVSC) announced on Wednesday morning.

All the infections were contracted domestically. Five people got infected from contacts with known Covid-19 cases.

Meanwhile the rest could not be traced to any known sources, Justina Petravičienė of the NVSC told LRT RADIO.

One person died from Covid-19 on Tuesday. According to previous reports, a 54-year-old Franciscan monk passed away in Vilnius Santara Clinic. In all, 81 people have died from the coronavirus in Lithuania so far.

Lithuania has confirmed 2,147 Covid-19 infections, of which 403 are active cases, while 1,650 people have already recovered.
