Bit odd indeed this sentence; source of infection of the deceased Muhammad still not known; my guess is the swallows were an extra reason or option to suspect bird flu, so they took some direct contacts from Muhammad reportedly with fever to hospital for an extra check.

If these people were contacts of the person who died from BF, isn't it likely or at least possible that they were given tamiflu?

Doesn't tamiflu often cause a false negative?

I often wonder about the people we hear about who seem to be severely ill and have all the symptoms, but test negative and then are sent home.
Do they recover or die?

I too am frustrated by the lack of follow up. Imagine the books that will be written when the dust settles!

I often wonder why we hear about any suspects at all given the apparent political situation and economic consequences of AI infections.

Is the Indonesian press so motivated and independent that they are acting autonomously, or is some benefit to the Indonesian PTB that I am missing.... Aid money maybe?
