Re: Indonesia HUMAN Cases - Mar/2/2008+

Again confirmation of 3 patients in Padang Hospital: AN (brother died, suspected to have bird flu, not tested), AF and EN/ER, the nurse..

Padang- After two patients Suspect Flu Burung were treated in Instalasi Rawat Inap Isolation space (IRNA C) several days ago, on Tuesday (1-4) at 15.30 in the afternoon.

The central public hospital of M.Djamil Padang again received the patient Suspect Bird Flu.

The patient who was 2 years old that had a name AF was reconciled from the Hospital of Stroke Bukittinggi.

According to Dr Irayanti, the service division head of RSUP M.Djamil Padang, the available sign quite new the assumption of bird flu like the cough, breathless and the temperature of his body was high.

His temperature 38.5 levels. The cough and breathless.
His sign indeed had the assumption.

We could not sentence someone was affected by bird flu before results of the sample inspection of his blood.

Until this we did not yet accept results, said the IRA to padangmedia.com, on Wednesday (2-4) in RSUP M.Djamil Padang.

From the story of the illness AF, said the IRA, the living child in Palupuah Kabupaten Agam indeed had carried out contact with the poultry that died around his residence.

Clinically his sign indeed in that direction.

But once more the IRA stressed could not be ascertained before having results of the sample of blood of Labor Party Research And Development of Kesehatan Jakarta.

We were still being waiting for Labor Party results.
Even so with 2 other patients. AN and ER same was not yet ascertained.

Produced by Labor Party him also not yet we received, said the IRA.

Touched on the spread of bird flu that was enabled through human contact, of the IRA could not ascertain him.

Indeed generally bird flu could spread when contact with the poultry.

But from the condition that happened that the older brother AN was also expected by bird flu and died.

Moreover ER was the nurse who treated the AN older brother in Bukittinggi.

So we could not confirm whether could spread through human contact.
From his story actually not. But in medical definitely could not be.
The possibility always was available.

For example the example of the AN case, he experienced cramps in fact the bird flu patient did not have cramps, explained the IRA.

Moreover, mentioned the IRA, we did business with the virus.
As is known, the virus his mutation was very fast and changing.

Equally his matter with DBD, if previously was known only biting during the day, but later his bite already all day.

So possibilities continued to be available.

That was frightened by us in fact DBD that has made many people die.

But Bird Flu, because be involved the effect economically therefore to more was guarded against, added the IRA.

The segment hoped to the media also gave true information and did not frighten the community.

Re: Indonesia HUMAN Cases - Mar/2/2008+

Reports on names of (suspect) bird flu patients in Sumatara are confusing.

In Padang Hospital, Sumatra it seems we have:

- 2 young childeren/babies, about the same age, from the same village

- 1 tested positive , ALQ, also called: Anisa, Alifa Qansa, Afifah; full sibling of Alifah, Edi Satria, died from "inflammation of the lungs".

- testresult of the other child called AF, Afifah, is pending

The childeren seem to come from the same village, neighbours and relatives were tested negative, through "rapid tests" .

- 1 nurse, Etriani, 1 reports says tested negative, other reports say test result pending.

Bloodtests of 180 contacts of the nurse were tested negative; not mentioned how they tested these samples so fast, could be by "rapid tests".

I think like you.. for the patients, and for the tests : 180 blood tests ( wich tests ? ) it s not " possible" , but 180 rapid tests are more possible.
