I remember a recent report - did not post it - saying bird flu patients are or will be refused by all hospitals in Jakarta Region, except by the special referral hospitals for avian influenza.

Some time ago we had several reports which seem to point to a new procedure: suspect bird flu patients will stay at home or in the local health centre, put immediatly on Tamiflu; they are 'monitored".

If their health does not improve, they will be reconciled to a (special referral) hospital.

There are 100 such hospitals in Indonesia, I don't have the list at hand now, may be it is somewhere here at FT already. I can post it wednesday.

We do not know, but this has happened before:

a patient is treated in a hospital, only later it becomes clear the patient is suspect for bird flu. So he or she was treated without proctective equipment.

Direct contacts from the suspect patients, including medics, are followed up by testing, to rule out further contamination.

Jakarta - Alamsyah (24), the older brother (or sister,ed) of Istiqomah (casualties who died because suspect bird flu) took part in being treated in RS Persahabatan, Jakarta Timur.

Alamsyah was run off with on Tuesday May 13 2008 yesterday, because of suffering the sign of bird flu.

The older brother (or sister) still in treated in isolation space RS Persehabatan, said the brother Alamsyah, Sanusi (19) in his house of Street Dwijaya 4, RT , Gandaria North, Southern Jakarta, on Wednesday (14-5-2008).

Alamsyah was run off with to RS Persahabatan three days after Istiqomah entered this RS.

The family ran off with him to RS Persahabatan because of experiencing signs was sick yag was the same as Istiqomah.

The fever until 38 levels celcius with the cough and flu, he added.
Medical treatment that was given free by the hospital side it was admitted the family really helped.

Moreover the Istiqomah funeral cost and Ahmad Rizki then still were borne.
In fact, his medicine until dozens of million rupiah.

What do humans do this time of year ? sewing,harvesting,digging,...?
