Surankote (Poonch), Mar 22: At least six children have reportedly died due to outbreak of a mysterious disease in a remote village of this border district.
Reports said that the epidemic has spread in the Phaglla village of Surankote infecting more than two dozen children in last three days.
Though officials confirmed the death of only four children, the locals claimed that six of them have lost their lives so far, while condition of some others is critical.
The village is situated 16 kms from Poonch and sans road connectivity. The district administration has dispatched a team of doctors and para-medics to the village to take stock of the situation but there was no confirmation about the nature of the disease.
?At least six children have died so far due to the mysterious disease in last 48 hours?, Wiladat Hussain, Saparanch of the area told Greater Kashmir over phone.

When contacted, DDC Poonch Ajeet Kumar Sahu also confirmed death of four children saying the disease has been preliminary identified as Measles.
?Due to the outbreak of measles in some areas of Surankote, 4 children have lost their lives, while 14 others were badly affected?, the DDC said adding, ?high alert has been sounded in the area to control the spread of the diseases?.
He said that a team of doctors has been sent to the area and all health institutions have been directed to ensure Measles vaccination to all the children of the area. ?All this is being done on war footing?, the DDC said.

Block Rapid Response Team visited the affected Village dated: 23-03-12 and Found 16 cases of Measles which was given medications and Vitamin A Solutions. 144 healthy children of that village immunized with measles vaccines & Vitamin A Solutions. Total no death since 12.03.12 to 22.03.12 is 5 death due to measles. On dated 24.03.12 Distt. RRT visited the site and House to house search and identified 24 Measles cases. They were given Vitamin A solutions and Supporting Medications. 114 healthy children immunized with measles vaccines and Vitamin A solutions. Rehd (Bijnor): a four-year-old girl died suffering from measles. Village Rehd the area, Maniawala, Dhlawala etc. chickenpox and measles outbreaks is increasing rapidly. There are many children of the region in its grip.

Ahmed's four-year-old daughter Ilma Dhampur resident boyfriend has a high fever. With him it was measles. Shown in a private hospital in the city. His health has not improved. Died on Wednesday received an adult. However, being told that the outbreak of chickenpox and measles is rising rapidly. Rehd Village area, Maniawala, Dhlawala etc. Many children are in its grip. But health department is not the head.

Primary health center in charge, Dr. BS Rawat said that there are some cases of chickenpox in the village Casmpurgdhi. Get medicine has been identified by victims. If you ever get measles or other disease information will be sent immediately to the health department team.

Bahraich, as the sun's heat is increasing day by day, increasing the number of patients with diarrhea and measles. Heavily altered in the hospital every day suffering children in the district are accessible to treatment. The highest incidence is in Tehsil Mahsi and Kasrganj.
In Sravasti district of Bahraich district of the patient is admitted to hospital. Sravasti district Lkshmnnagr eight children are enrolled in the district hospital. Four children suffering from measles Lonianpurwa Mahsi tehsil. On Saturday, three children, children suffering from diarrhea were admitted to the ward. On Sunday, the victim Munni Devi, Devi Singh, smile, Shadab, planks, Rajiv, Priyanka, Suman, Nizamuddin treatment were admitted to the ward. In the past week, five babies have died from measles. The block Sibpur Lalpur saraya Rehan resident, resident Kjuha Rummy, Mahsi resident Sonny, a resident of Shastri including Rubina and Sajrabano and safflower. It is all one to three years of age. Pediatrician, Dr. Verma said of the children affected by diarrhea and measles are coming for treatment.

Kevtnpurwa spread measles, a dozen sick

Sravasti, an outbreak of measles in the village development area Jmunha Kevtnpurwa to continue. More than a dozen children under the grip of measles are sick. Departmental team of health in the village has not so far for treatment. The villagers say that the information has not the medical team.
Measles is spread over three days in the village area Kevtnpurwa. Dwarka from measles, Ramarani, Chanhgu, Nita, Rinka, including a dozen children are affected. Most children have been treated in private physicians. Villagers say that the information is not yet a doctor in the village. That rural people in the village over the past three days, measles are undergoing treatment for children with private physicians. CHC has just arrived in the village concerned ANM he returned to complete formalities. The village is lying in the dirt. Cleaning workers do not. Drop curtain drains in the village took place - took place on infectious diseases have been promoting garbage dumps. Dr. GC CMO Lal said that they had not reported measles outbreaks. Affected village doctors and health workers for treatment and rescue team is being sent. He said the village clean - cleaning systems are impoverished due to the spread of infectious diseases. The villagers need to be aware.
