New Delhi: The World Health Organisation Friday said it was ready to provide all assistance to encephalitis-hit Bihar.
Talking to reporters here, WHO India representative Nata Menabde said that while WHO was ready to provide all assistance for establishing what the virus was, it had not been approached by the government yet.
"We don`t have any specific project at present, but we are open to providing assistance whenever the government approaches us. We have all the expertise," Menabde told reporters.

Aurangabad: Three children Died of Suspected Encephalitis and as many Others taken ill in Bihar's Aurangabad District in the Past one week, A Government doctor said on Thursday. Three children of Teldiha Village Under Madanpur block Died between June 23 - 26 with all having shown Symptoms of the disease, Aurangabad Sadar hospital's Civil Surgeon P. BHARATI said.

Assam: Japanese Encephalitis toll at 11
Guwahati, June 30 : The
death toll from Japanese Encephalitis rose to eleven in Assam with four more people succumbing to the disease on Friday, said health officials on Saturday.
The total number of Japanese Encephalitis cases has touched 50.
According to reports, the
total number of Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES) cases have touched 332 while the death toll has reached 47.
