The National Rural Health Mission does a far better job of providing more timely and more complete updates (post #49 above for example) although those too are likely undercounts. To October 12, the NRHM has reported 89,798 positive Rapid Dengue Tests and 42,817 positive ELISA tests with 151 fatalities. Media reports indicate dozens of other deaths with dengue symptoms that are not being confirmed dengue due to lack of timely testing. Important point to remember that official figures do not include tests performed by private hospitals or private labs.
