It is being told that a lot of patients are suffering from dengue here, out of which Ajit Singh's wife Neelam (20 years) has been reported to have died due to dengue on Saturday. When the information of this reached the Health Department, the officers were swollen and CMO Dr. Brijesh Rathore reached village Kachpura with his team on Sunday morning.
Here, 242 patients were given medicines after seeing fever. Out of these, malaria slides of 70 fever patients were made. Dengue probable seven patients were tested for dengue. Five critical patients were admitted to the dengue ward of the district hospital. These include names of Kirti son Janak Singh, Pooja wife Pankaj Goswami, Reenu wife Toshendra, and sweet son Manoj. Apart from these, Amit Kumar of Sasni has also been admitted to the dengue ward.
Dengue deaths and fever outbreaks were reported in the village. I myself went to the village with the team. The medicine was distributed to fever patients here. Malaria slides have also been prepared. Samples were taken for dengue screening of seven dengue potential patients. Five have been admitted to the district hospital. Now the situation is normal in the village.

As of now, the health department has not confirmed whether these deaths are due to dengue or not.

However, according to district health department, there are 238 people in the city who are suffering from dengue fever.

After two deaths reported last week, a 12-year-old girl, Gargi Batish, died during treatment at the Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) on Monday. The cause of her death is stated to be multiple organ failure.

Gargi was suffering from fever since October 25 and was admitted to the DMCH on October 27.

Similarly, a 37-year-old factory labourer, Ramesh, also died of suspected dengue at a private hospital of the city.

Dr Rimi Tawade, general practitioner and Yuvam’s neighbour, said, “On Wednesday morning, the family got him for a check-up. He had cold and fever but as the fever did not subside despite medications.”

The rampant dengue fever running in Vizag has unfortunately claimed one more victim. Sindhupriya, a 29-year-old resident of Gajuwaka, passed away in the wee hours of Tuesday, three days after delivering a healthy baby. The concerned doctors had performed a Caesarean section as they feared that the infection may affect the baby’s health.

Initially, Sindhupriya, being 37 weeks pregnant, was admitted to a private hospital. However, as her condition was deteriorating, she was shifted to King George Hospital on Saturday. Soon Sindhupriya’s condition started worsening with a decreasing platelet count.

Acop from the city’s northern fringes who became a mother last month and a homemaker from Howrah died of dengue over the past two days, civic officials said.

Runu Biswas, 28, a Calcutta police constable posted at Amherst Street police station, died at a private hospital off the EM Bypass around 6am on Wednesday.

Biswas was admitted to a New Town hospital on October 25 after running a temperature for 10 days, a relative said.

“She was in the 34th week of pregnancy when she tested positive for dengue. She gave birth to a girl on October 26. Her platelet count started dropping a couple of days after delivery. The count dipped to 65,000 on October 29 from 1.25 lakh the day before,” said an official of the private hospital where she was admitted.

A24-year-old man died of dengue in a city hospital on Thursday, taking the toll in the Calcutta municipal area this year to six.

Li Seong Kwong died of “septic shock and multi-organ failure in dengue fever, with hepatitis B-related chronic liver disease”, an official of AMRI Hospital-Salt Lake said.

Kwong, a resident of Matheshwartala Road in Tangra’s China Town, was admitted to the hospital on October 31. He died at 6.30pm on Thursday, the official said.

Kwong’s death takes the dengue toll in the Calcutta municipal area to six this year. All the deaths were reported after September.

Lucknow, JNN. Three more people died of dengue in the last twenty-four hours. One of them, Jitendra Singh Rathore, is being called the Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) of Sitapur.

Ravi Singh (28), resident of Ghado village in Mal, had fever for a week. At first they showed locally, but the fever did not subside. He was then admitted to a private hospital in Krishnanagar. Investigation here confirmed dengue. On Saturday, Ravi's condition became more serious. He died in the evening.

Jitendra was a resident of Lakhimpur

Jitendra Singh Rathore (36), a resident of Gola in Lakhimpur, had fever for several days. The family admitted Jitendra to the private hospital in Indira Nagar. Doctors found dengue in the investigation. Jitendra was kept in ICU when the condition became critical, where Jitendra died late on Saturday. Jasmeet Singh (26), a resident of Prayagraj, also had fever for several days. The doctors confirmed dengue in them. He was admitted to the private hospital in Krishnanagar on Friday after the condition became critical. Jasmeet was admitted to ICU here. Jasmeet died on Saturday. During this, the family created a ruckus alleging negligence in treatment. He alleged that the patient was not given plasma at the time. After a brief respite, yet another child has fallen prey to dengue in the city suburbs. A four-year-old girl from Ambattur, Kathrin, succumbed to complications due to dengue reportedly at a private hospital in the city on Saturday evening. Though the State Health Department officials are awaiting the death audit report, hospital authorities confirm death due to dengue.


Chennai: Kathrin was suffering from fever for the past one week and was admitted to a private hospital in Porur after the fever did not subside. Hospital authorities said that Kathrin was brought with symptoms of dengue after about four days of fever. Despite treatment, she did not respond and died at the hospital on Saturday after a drop in her platelets count.

A three-year boy died of dengue in the city’s Park Circus area, pushing the death toll due to the vector-borne disease to 23 since January, a source in the state health department said on Monday.

Aharshi Dhar, a resident of Lake Town, who was admitted to the Institute of Child Health last week with high fever, died on Sunday night because of dengue, a senior doctor of the hospital said.

The child was at the pediatric intensive care unit at the medical facility since Thursday, he said.
