The residents of Civil Lines are holding the lax approach of Jaipur Municipal Corporation (JMC) and health department responsible for the spread of dengue cases in their area. They said that officials failed to carry out fogging in their area which resulting in breeding of mosquitoes.

Water-borne diseases up as dengue loses sting (Mumbai, Maharashtra)

After the dengue sting, water-borne diseases seem to be on the rise in Mumbai, with one person testing positive for cholera and 40 others for typhoid last week, according to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation?s (BMC) health department report.

The BMC is, however, happy with the downward trend of dengue cases. With 54 dengue cases recorded a week ago, the civic body took steps to control the spread of the disease.

We registered only 37 dengue cases this week.?
About 149 gastroenteritis and 22 hepatitis cases were recorded by the BMC, said the last week?s report.

The state Health Department has banned Rapid serology test for diagnosis Dengue by the Clinicians/Hospitals (Govt./Private ) Nursing Homes and Clinical Establishments and recommended only National Institute of Virology Kit commonly called ELISA test for detection of 1gM to confirm Dengue fever.

Dengue cases on the rise in Khammam district (Andhra Pradesh)

Cases of vector borne diseases, particularly dengue cases, are on the rise in the district even as the government wings concerned are engaged in anti-larval operations to contain the mosquito menace, the potential health hazard.
According to sources, more than 30 confirmed dengue cases have been reported from across the district, including two in Khammam town, in the last few weeks.
