* Central RRT is assisting the State authorities.
* House to house surveillance by health workers is continuing.
* A population of 19685 has been covered in 0-3 Km area and a population of 26355 has been covered in 3-10 Km area.
* A total of 162 cases of fever/URI have been detected in the community and none of them had history of contact with infected poultry.
* 178 Animal Health Workers are under medical supervision and are under chemoprophylaxis.
-- Village Hatearra; Block: Mohanpur [outbreak notified on 21.4.2008]
* Central RRT is assisting the State authorities.
* Active house to house surveillance is continuing.
* A population of 24480 has been covered in 0-3 Km area and a population of 1486 has been covered in 3-10 Km area.
* In total 51 cases of fever/ URI have been detected in the community and none of them had exposure history to infected poultry.
* 122 Animal Health Workers are under medical supervision and are under chemoprophylaxis.
* There is adequate stock of Tamiflu .
* There is no suspect case of human avian influenza.
* The situation is being monitored.
