Medan (SINDO) ? PT Pertamina pointed at the activity of the industry and the resident berjeriken became his rare cause fuel oil (FUEL OIL) in several areas. External Relationship PertaminaUPms1MedanRustam the Charm stated, the scarcity resulting from consumption increasingly increased in several regencies. One of them of Tapanuli Selatan, industri the mining it was indicated bought FUEL OIL from the station of the filling of the public's fuel (SPBU).
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
In the meantime, in Padangsidimpuan the scarcity was resulted in by the brightness of the buyer berjeriken. ??Kami has been in a meeting to the Head of Resor police (District Police Chief) Padangsidimpuanpada on Wednesday (6/8). There was the increase in the purchase of the community, namely even more buyers berjeriken. In the meantime, in Tapsel, we indicated the mine industry bought FUEL OIL from SPBU,? said Rustam to SINDO in Medan yesterday. He menambahkan, kebutuhan 1.750 kilolitre (kl) per the month or 56 kl per the day during four SPBU in Padangsidimpuan has sufficed. Now itu,di Tapsel, tujuh SPBU on average 1.472 kl per the month or 48 kl per the day also has been normal.

<o:p></o:p>
However, the existence of the increase in the purchase that was expected by the industry and the buyer berjeriken caused SPBU to run out of stock. ??Kamiakanmenindak the owner SPBU that was naughty. Now itu, untuk the buyer like from the mining and the resident berjeriken, we asked the local government to coordinate with polisi,? he stated. For the other area that also ran out of stock, Rustam claimed Pertamina did not reduce stock of BBM. Bahkan, they increased supplies 15% exceeded the quota per the month. So, several areas that ran out of FUEL OIL, like Medan, Karo, Labuhanbatu was caused by the existence of the delay of the businessman SPBU ordered and paid his obligation.
<o:p></o:p>
However, as far as this is concerned did not yet have the report if SPBU in the area ran out of stock. Had a basis the Pertamina note, the quota in general the premium every month 6.700 kl and diesel fuel 7.900 kl. According to him, for the length of the I semester this year, Pertamina increased supplies to 8.300 kl per the month during the premium, whereas diesel fuel to 9.900 kl per the month. The increase of 15% also happened in Labuhanbatu. ??Jadi, if having SPBU in the area that ran out of stock of FUEL OIL, the possibility because of the owner not menebusnya,? he stated. Although the area tended the lack of FUEL OIL, Rustam acknowledged Pertamina selective increased stok.Penyaluran him then was based on the requirement in general for the last three months.
<o:p></o:p>
In the meantime, the member the Commission of D DPRD North Sumatra Abdul Justice Siagian said, Pertamina must be responsible for the lack that happened. As the big company, necessarily Pertamina has predicted the increase in the requirement for FUEL OIL. ??Kelangkaan was caused by the existence of the increase in the requirement not the logical answer. They must be professional to memprediksikan the requirement warga,? he said. He also ask for so that the regional government (the regional government) tightened the supervision. Moreover, at this time often happened accused-accused that caused the community to be increasingly confused. (watson manalu)

N. Sulawesi govt distributes anti-bird flu vaccines among poultry breeders

Manado (ANTARA News) - The North Sulawesi provincial administration has distributed thousands of ampules of vaccines against bird flu among poultry breeders in an effort to prevent the spread of the deadly disease in the region, a local official said.

The distribution was focused on poultry breeders but the purpose was also to protect the entire community, the head of the North Sulawesi agriculture and animal husbandry office, Herry Rotinsulu, said here Thursday.

But the volume of vaccines distributed was not enough as according to official data, North Sulawesi had a chicken population of 2 million, Rotinsulu said. Therefore, the provincial poultry industry`s need for vaccines would be met in stages and the distribution would be done every year, he added.

Meanwhile, the provincial administration would continue to ask for additional supplies of vaccines from the central government through the agriculture ministry, Rotinsulu said.

Poultry breeders were also expected to maintain the required sanitary conditions of their animals through biosecurity measures such as the spraying of disinfectants in all their poultry coops.

Thousands of chickens died suddenly in 2008 in North Sulawesi because of the spread of newcastle disease (locally known as tetelo) which was considered as a possible precursor of bird flu.

Earlier, in 2006, people in the province were shocked by the sudden death of hundreds of chickens in Rumoong Bawah village, South Minahasa district (90 kilometers south of Manado). An examination conducted by the Veterinary Center in Maros, Makassar, South Sulawesi, on specimens from Rumoong Bawah proved that the chickens were infected with the bird flu virus.

I'm thinking this chart for "hot spots" is due to fires.....but I'm not sure, because Asahan, and Tunjungbalai are mentioned.

http://www.dephut.go.id/index.php?page=11&q=hotspot&hid=1527

ETA: The chart changed. Now it says "Aceh". You have to scroll down further, for what I saw the first time I went here.

Commoungroud,

I analyzed the hotspot on Northern Sumatra since mid-July. There are some in July of them but strong time is found after August 2 with a concentration which is between 2 and it August 4. The most affected localizations during this period are Asahan (29), Labuhanbatu (51) Mandailing Natal/Madina (17) Tapunil Selatan (71) and Toba Samosir (23).

These hotspot corresponds perhaps partly to hearths of fire lit to destroy the poultry, the cages and perhaps of the hen houses. If it is the case it was necessary accelerating. Curiously I find in the newspapers of the articles on fuel shortage in the days which follow.

"The fuel oil Crisis (FUEL OIL) in the Labuhanbatu Regency, continued to be continuous. The petrol increasingly was difficult to be gotten in SPBU. Sejumlah SPBU seemed to not sell the petrol, again moreover during the day since the last 2 months. If having the petrol in SPBU the long queue unavoidable.

"PADANGSIDIMPUAN - Fuel Oil (FUEL OIL) the premium kind and diesel fuel were increasingly rare in Tapanuli Bagian Selatan, from the Tapteng border, Tapsel to the Kab border. Mandailing Natal with the West Sumatra Province. Two FUEL OIL kinds, in the period for the last week were difficult to be received in the P. Sidimpuan city. The resident be forced the long queue menungggu by parking the vehicle all along the road towards SPBU.
<o:p></o:p>
Waspada observation, since Thursday (7/8) till Friday (8/8), from Padangsidimpuan, Tapanuli Selatan to Kotanopan, Mandailing Christmas, in every time SPBU apparently the long queue the vehicle, in fact reached 2 kilometre from two road directions headed SPBU. "

I also found an article on the hotspot in Sumatra dated July 31.

Medan - the Besar Meteorologi Hall and Geophysics (BBMG) the Territory of I Medan said at this time was gotten totalling 148 hot spot (the focus) that had the potential to burn the forest in the Sumatran Island.

A correlation exists between (forest) fires and extensive soybean cultivation in several countries and regions (Borneo, Amazonas for example). Another cause may be the extension of bovine pastures. Illegal logging camps.
A research for the presence of soybean cultivations and their extension in Sumatra island is perhaps advisable.

Indonesia has a system to try to provide healthcare to the poor (Askeskin Cards).

Recently this system was reorganised, this caused problems, resulting in refusals of poor people trying to get treatment at hospitals.

Indonesian press reported this, apparently Dep of Health wants to respond to this criticism.
