The epidemic continues to diffuse on all the continents (more 67 000 cases).
5 new countries announced cases.

France

239 confirmed cases (including 234 in Metropolitan France, 2 in French Polynesia, 2 in Martinique and 1 in Saint Martin's day), 172 imported and 45 cases did not travel and are related to imported cases, 22 cases did not travel and belong to an episode of cases still grouped in the course of investigation.
220 cases in the course of investigation.
10 episodes of grouped cases including 3 without bond identified with a voyage.

Influenza A/H1N1: no "summer break" found so far

"L'?t? est normalement moins favorable ? la contamination par le virus mais, contrairement ? ce que nous esp?rions, nous n'enregistrons pas, pour le moment, de r?pit estival", a indiqu? Mme Bachelot. "The summer is normally less favorable to infection by the virus but, unlike what we expected, we do not, for now, summer break," said Bachelot.

La ministre de la Sant? rappelle que deux sc?narios ont toujours ?t? ?tudi?s: "tr?ve estivale avec remont?e ? l'automne, ou bien sc?nario lin?aire avec une pente r?guli?re ? la hausse". The Health Minister said that two scenarios have been studied: "summer break with rebound in the fall, or scenario with a linear slope on the rise."

"Les vacances ?tant l'occasion de voyages et de vie sociale plus active, l'?t? peut ?tre une p?riode propice ? la circulation accrue du virus", note-t-elle, estimant les personnes malades devront envisager de reporter leur d?part. "The holidays are an opportunity to travel and more active social life, the summer can be a time for the increased circulation of the virus," she notes, feeling sick people should consider postponing their departure.

Appelant ? na pas rel?cher les r?gles d'hygi?ne, elle souligne que les masques ne seront distribu?s automatiquement "qu'en cas d'?pid?mie forte". Appellant did not relax the rules of hygiene, she stressed that the masks will be distributed automatically in case of epidemic high.

France has 371 cases of influenza A (H1N1)

PARIS - France Monday reported 371 cases of influenza A (H1N1) since the beginning of
the epidemic, according to a final point of the Institut de Veille Sanitaire (INVS).
During the previous review, July 3, 331 cases had been identified.

Of the 371 cases confirmed Monday, 330 are in metropolitan France and 341 are
cases imported or linked to imported cases.

The French Minister of Health, Roselyne Bachelot, said the week
last that the vaccine against influenza A (H1N1) is available in the fall in
France.

According to experts, immunizing a French two, approximately 30 million
people, is sufficient to protect the entire population of the country.

Roselyne Bachelot said that the situation in France, where there are no "no
serious case of influenza A had nothing to do with the United Kingdom, where almost
10,000 patients have been reported.

PARIS - France added up Wednesday 793 cases confirmed or probable since the beginning of the epidemic of new influenza has (H1N1), indicated to Wednesday the managing director of the National Sanitary Surveillance Institute (InVS), Francoise Weber.
