I am completely unfamiliar with how the fungus/virus mechanism would work as a genetically contrived unit. Maybe we need a thread to explore this virology aspect alone....I have never heard of this. Fungus + virus = fungus suseptibility?

Here is Dr. Jacobs' resume:

https://drmichaelijacobs.com/dr-jacobs/

Here is some Dr. Tarakhovsky's information:

https://www.rockefeller.edu/our-scie...r-tarakhovsky/

"I am completely unfamiliar with how the fungus/virus mechanism would work as a genetically contrived unit." It would not work.
There have been hundreds of thousands of full genome sequences of SARS-2 and it is a corona virus with the same genes as all its relatives. While large for a virus there is nothing like the space in it to add a fungal genome or anything else that would make it work with a fungus. It may make it easier for a fungus to cause an infection as a by product of its attempts to suppress the host immune system but trying to claim it is a lab engineered feature is taking the already highly unlikely lab leak scenario to whole new level of silliness. While SARS-2 'is a bio-engineered bio-weapon' seems to have morphed into 'it is a lab escape' this would credit Chinese science with being many decades ahead of anything we can do in the West. I hope Fauci does not waste any time talking to them he has many more important uses for it.

Hi Vince!

How are you?

A topic came up in one of the Fauci emails regarding virology, genetics, and the concept of "sticky". Can you please read the post below containing the email and respond to the possibility of genetically altering a virus to include a fungus or some other type of material to make a virus "sticky".

If it is possible to add a fungus genetically to a virus, could such a virus cause the subject to be more susceptible to that fungus or any fungus?

https://flutrackers.com/forum/forum/...al-or-not-real

Sorry for the lack of proper virology terminology in this email.

I am going to publicly post your response.

Thank you!

Sincerely,

Sharon

Hello Dr. Tarakhovsky -

I am writing to ask you if you have seen the Fauci email where you are mentioned. Can you confirm that this is you who is referenced in the email? A copy of the email is here: https://flutrackers.com/forum/forum/...al-or-not-real

If this is you, please comment on the contents of the email regarding possibility of the SARS-Cov-2 virus being complexed with another organism such as a yeast or fungus to make the virus more sticky.

Again, your comment will be publicly posted on the site.

Thank you!

Sincerely,

Hi Sharon,

I hope all is well.

This isn't related to the virus having fungal components or genetic engineering or anything like that.

This is a new infection in these (presumably) Covid-19 patients, picked up by these people who were already infected with sars-cov-2 (I presume, I'm only reponsindg to this specific query and do. It have full visibility or the cases) .

Fungal lung infections occur. Here, they likely occurred while patients were being cared for. I have no personal insight on where they would have picked up the infection but the possibilities include the clinic or hospital where they were being treated.

I hope that clears up this misunderstanding.

Best

Here's the first time I heard the word "sticky" used to describe viruses:

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/transc...-coronavirus-on-face-the-nation-april-4-2021/
The following is a transcript of an interview with former FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb that aired April 4, 2021, on "Face the Nation."

DR. GOTTLIEB: Well, I don't think it should hurt confidence in people's perception of the safety of the vaccine. This was ultimately detected as part of the quality checks that they do in that facility. I don't think they should have been manufacturing two different virus- viral vector vaccines in the same facility. Viruses are sticky. Their genomic material transfers easily. We saw this with the CDC in terms of their failed rollout of their diagnostic tests because they were manipulating too many viruses in one facility and there was some cross contamination. It does appear to be the case that some component of the AstraZeneca vaccine, which they were also manufacturing in this facility, got into the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

If the Swiss and the British can figure this out, so can scientists in China.

In-Yeast Assembly of Coronavirus Infectious cDNA Clones Using a Synthetic Genomics Pipeline
Abstract

The Escherichia coli and vaccinia virus-based reverse genetics systems have been widely applied for the manipulation and engineering of coronavirus genomes. These systems, however, present several limitations and are sometimes difficult to establish in a timely manner for (re-)emerging viruses. In this chapter, we present a new universal reverse genetics platform for the assembly and engineering of infectious full-length cDNAs using yeast-based transformation-associated recombination cloning. This novel assembly method not only results in stable coronavirus infectious full-length cDNAs cloned in the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae but also fosters and accelerates the manipulation of their genomes. Such a platform is widely applicable for the scientific community, as it requires no specific equipment and can be performed in a standard laboratory setting. The protocol described can be easily adapted to virtually all known or emerging coronaviruses, such as Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV).

The CAI matches to fungi do not seem a coincidence when the human host is reacting to the virus as if it is a fungus.

"In addition, nCoV-2019 (as well as MERS-CoV and SARS-CoV) also have high CAI values to hosts that are even more unlikely than snakes to serve as the reservoir, including several fungi. And no, fungi are not likely to have started the outbreak in Wuhan."

"Paradoxically, SARS-CoV-2 infection also induces type 2 immunity, normally directed against helminth worm infections characterized by IL-4, IL-5, IL-13, and IgE responses and clearance by eosinophils and basophils. Even elements of a type 3 immunity against fungi was detected in COVID-19 patients with increased IL-17 levels."

Hello Sharon,

The idea of combining a virus and a fungus doesn't make any sense. They are two very different organisms and simply can't be combined. Of course, it is possible to take individual fungal genes and introduce them into the genome of a virus. If the fungal gene were incorporated into the viral envelope, it could influence attachment of the virus to a cell. However there is ZERO evidence that SARS-CoV-2 contains any fungal genes. SARS-CoV-2 originated from Nature, not a lab. There is no question about this conclusion, despite what you might have heard from any number of scientists. No lab had any virus like SARS-CoV-2 before December 2019 and therefore it could not have been released from a lab. The idea that SARS-CoV-2 came from a lab ignores science and the current narrative being promoted in the mainstream media is simply uninformed. I am deeply disappointed in this line of thought.

Vincent

Thank you to Vincent for responding because I am fairly certain that he knows I consider the lab origin theory a real possibility. As I have said before, at FluTrackers we do not do "cancel" culture. We do not have any mantra about anything. In fact, I want to hear alternative views from mine. This is in the best interest of truth seeking.

I have changed the title of this thread based on Vincent's scientific response. In the spirit of his response I added the wording "(not endorsing SARS-CoV-2 lab origin theory)" to the title. If an expert responds to you, it is always important to quote them exactly and not to mischaracterize their message. Main stream media does that all the time. IMHO they often take the small bit of a quote from the expert that fits their narrative and they ignore the context of the overall message.
