حرب شرسة بكل المقاييس تلك التي تخوضها مصر بكل أجهزتها الصحية والبيطرية والبيئية ضد فيروس أنفلونزا الطيور من الإسكندرية حتي أسوان ومن مطروح حتي رفح.. حرب قتالية تهاجم البؤر المصابة بالمرض وحرب دفاعية تشارك فيها مختلف هيئات ووزارات الدولة بالاضافة الي الهيئات الصحية العالمية وفي مقدمتها النمرو ومنظمة الصحة العالمية والمعمل البريطاني وفرق الترصد الوبائي والتي كانت مهمتها الاكتشاف المبكر للمرض للحد من الوفيات وهو ماتحقق بالفعل في سرعة تشخيص11 حالة خلال الشهور الثلاثة الأولي من العام الحالي تم شفاؤها جميعا دون حدوث وفيات وحول هذه الحرب لابد ان نؤكد عدة حقائق مهمة هي:

* استمرار الحرب علي اسواق الطيور العشوائية والتي يمكن ان تشكل بؤرا جديدة او مستمرة لظهور المرض.

استمرار اتخاذ الاجراءات الحاسمة للحد من تهريب الدواجن بين المحافظات.
