The Cabinet's Media Center denied the recent reports about rising poultry prices due to a shortage in the markets, stressing that these reports are completely false.
The Media Center explained, in a statement published through its official social media platforms, that in contact with the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, the Ministry confirmed the availability of poultry in large quantities in various markets, noting that the rates of chick production from mothers during the current year exceed those of last year.
The ministry confirmed that the local market is witnessing an abundance of grandparents, parents and broiler chicks, in addition to the availability of sufficient quantities of table eggs, as well as the existence of a safe strategic stock of frozen poultry inside slaughterhouse refrigerators, which contributes to the stability of the market and the absence of any shortage in supply.
