Confirmed patients and their contacts have epidemiological surveillance and medical control by the Ministry of Public Health.

The conditions of the 85,355 cases of COVID-19 that have been confirmed in the country are:

Quito, Aug 3 (EFE) .- The number of positives for COVID-19 in Ecuador amounted to 87,041 this Monday, 517 new cases compared to the previous day, while the official deaths reached 5,767, with 17 additional.
This was reported in its daily part by the Ministry of Health, which also mentions 3,512 probable deaths from coronavirus.
According to the official bulletin, since the first contagion was detected on February 29, 247,583 samples have been taken for COVID-19, between rapid tests and PCR in Ecuador, inhabited by more than 17 million people.
With these tests, 119,867 cases were discarded, while 11,577 were discharged from hospital.
According to official statistics, Ecuador registers 59,344 recovered by COVID-19, 844 people are hospitalized in stable conditions and 366 with reserved prognosis.
Based on PCR tests, the Ecuadorian capital, Quito, continues to collect the highest number of cases, registering another 40 in the last twenty-four hours, reaching 13,514 infections.

In Ecuador there are 87 963 confirmed cases of covid-19 as of the morning of this August 4, 2020. 5 808 people have died from the virus and 3 524 people have died from causes related to respiratory disease, a total of 9 332 deaths . This Sunday, August 9, COVID-19 infections in Ecuador reached 94,459 confirmed cases.

Between Saturday and Sunday in Ecuador, 854 new confirmed cases of coronavirus were registered, this after the report issued by the Ministry of Public Health of the official COVID-19 figures for this Sunday, August 16, 2020.

This is how 101,542 confirmed cases are registered, of which 92,586 correspond to PCR and 8,956 to rapid tests.

With the latest MSP report, the deaths confirmed by COVID-19 rise to 6070 (5 more than yesterday); while probable deaths from the virus reach 3,568 (one more than yesterday).

285,784 samples have been taken so far, of which 41,370 are dammed, without result.

The Ministry explained that in Imbabura there was an increase in confirmed cases compared to the last week, which corresponds to strategies for entering the results into the epidemiological surveillance system.

The Ministry of Public Health (MSP) presented the official COVID-19 figures for this Monday, August 17, 2020 in Ecuador. It reported the results of 993 tests processed in the last 24 hours. Of these, 209 (21%) were positive, so that the confirmed cases amount to 101,751; and 784 (79%) were negative, so that the cases discarded increased to 143,656.

In the last two weeks, confirmed cases have increased faster in Carchi (60%), Imbabura (54%) and Sucumb?os (46%).

With the latest MSP report, the deaths confirmed by COVID-19 rise to 6,083 (13 more than yesterday); while probable deaths from the virus reach 3,568 (zero more than yesterday).

286 499 samples have been taken so far, of which 41 092 are dammed, without result. Ecuador is, along with Bolivia, the country in the region that performs the fewest tests per number of inhabitants.

Quito registered 345 new cases of covid-19 in the last 24 hours; the national total amounts to 102,941

Quito, the city most affected by covid-19, registered 345 new cases in the last 24 hours this August 18, 2020, reaching a total of 18,945. In Ecuador, the number of infections reached 102,941, with a increase of 1 190 in the last period, according to the Government's report No. 173.

According to the report, the capital concentrates 18.4% of all cases nationwide. Quito surpasses Guayaquil, which until July was the city with the most infections, which houses 12.14% of infections and this August 18 they reached 12,504, with an increase of 8 compared to the day before.

Regarding deaths in the context of the pandemic, the Ministry of Health indicates that 9,686 people have died: 6,105 have been confirmed cases of the disease and another 3,581 are due to deaths with respiratory failure.

Pichincha is the province with the most infections of the new coronavirus. This Tuesday's report shows an increase of 444 cases compared to Monday and has a total of 20,986. Of the new infections, 345 correspond to Quito. Guayas follows with 18,343, 15 more than the previous day.

Manab? is the third province with the most cases with 7,632,113 new infections since Monday, August 17. It is followed by Azuay with 4,412, Santo Domingo de los Ts?chilas with 4,265, El Oro with 3,958, Loja with 3,576, Esmeraldas with 3,441 and Los R?os with 3,007.

Other provinces with more than 2 00 infections are: Tungurahua with 2 922 Cotopaxi with 2 647, Imbabura 2 419 and Morona Santiago with 2 279; While the regions with more than 1 000 cases are: Sucumb?os with 1 842, Chimborazo with 1 807, Pastaza with 1 720, Carchi with 1 527, Orellana with 1 496, Bol?var with 1 341, Santa Elena with 1 199, Zamora Chinchipe with 1,114 and Napo with 1,014.

The official report on covid-19 in Ecuador details that of the total confirmed cases (102,941), 93,985 were detected with PCR tests and another 8,956 with rapid tests. Regarding the condition of the patients, the report indicates that 73,616 people recovered from the disease and another 13,567 were discharged from hospital, while 890 are in stable hospitalization and 366 with a reserved prognosis.

Of these, 1,534 (40%) were positive, so that the confirmed cases amount to 104,475; and 2311 (60%) were negative, so that the cases discarded increase to 147,980.

In the last two weeks, confirmed cases have increased faster in Carchi (60%), Imbabura (54%) and Sucumb?os (46%).

Of these, 1,033 (29%) were positive, so that the confirmed cases amount to 105,508; and 2,485 (71%) were negative, so that the cases discarded increased to 150,465.

In the last two weeks, confirmed cases have increased faster in Imbabura (59%), Carchi (56%), and Sucumb?os (37%).

With the latest MSP report, the deaths confirmed by COVID-19 rise to 6,200 (54 more than yesterday); while probable deaths from the virus reach 3609 (15 more than yesterday).

Of these, 973 (35%) were positive, so that the confirmed cases amount to 106,481; and 1,784 (65%) were negative, so that the cases discarded increased to 152,249,150,465.

In the last two weeks, confirmed cases have increased faster in Imbabura (54%), Carchi (50%), and Tungurahua (38%).

In Ecuador there are 107 769 confirmed cases of covid-19 as of the morning of this August 23, 2020. 6 310 people have died from the virus and 3 662 people have died from causes related to respiratory disease, a total of 9 972 deaths .

According to information provided by the Ministry of Health in its 178 report, of the total number of infected people (107,769), 98,813 have been confirmed cases with PCR tests. The remaining number (8,956) are people who have received positive rapid tests.

Until yesterday, August 22, 2020, in Ecuador there were 98 133 infected confirmed with PCR tests and 8 956 cases registered with rapid tests, a total of 107 089 affected. In other words, in the course of 24 hours, there are 680 new infections according to information from the National Government.
